Crawford returning kickoffs
Kind of surprised this hasn't been a thread yet but, uh, Crawford on kickoff returns is............tall?
He's had some really poor decisions back there taking the ball out imo.
What should be done about this position? I say just give it to DPJ. He already has a punt return TD.

Yeah, we aren't very strong in the blazing speed department. I mean, some of our guys have good speed. Though to give you an idea of great speed... just watch OSU's Paris Campbell.

You'd have to put someone right next to him to catch the ball and hand it to McDoom, so he could run.

Crawford hasnt returned a kick since Air Force. Ambry has been the only one back there. Announcers keep lazily saying its Crawford. The funny thing ive noticed the last few games is when Ambry does well we praise Ambry and when he has a bad return the fan base blames it on Crawford smh

If they're not going to run Evans in a major offensive capacity, they may as well have him return kickoffs. He's definitely one of the fastest/shiftiest guys on the team.

This strikes me as a bad idea....a very bad idea.

I dont think this is all that important compared to the other issues facing the team which is why it hasnt come up

i kind of like a guy that can catch the ball and doesn't fumble.

Why not try Mo Hurst back there for his senior season? I faintly remember seeing him at RB in his high school highlight tape with some long touchdown runs... lol
Jokes aside, I am sure DPJ will be back there in 2018; he just has a lot on his plate as a freshman learning WR and Punt Return. It is pretty shocking that we dont have someone electric and shifty to put back there at this point in the Harbaugh tenure.

If only because the vast majority of the responses just trashing our players, which is stupid. It's one thing to be critical. It's one thing to periodically do it as a release. It's another thing that a large group of douchebags just rags on the guys whose success dictates so much of their general happiness.
By the way, the issue has been much more associated with blocking on kick returns this year than the returners themselves.
