Jordan making 1997 throwback gear
These popped up today on MDen.
I'm very curious if a throwback jersey will be worn on 10/21.
I have some memory of seeing the t-shirt. Anyone remember the original versions of these? These were shirts made back in 1997, they're just now sporting the Jordan logo.

I mean, I love me some new gear and all, but just exactly how much stuff do they think we can store, let alone buy. Not a knock on WD at all, just tiring of "new," "classic," "alternate," etc.
And yes, I get that they are paying us.

Yes. I have a token for every major bowl that we've won.
8 Roses, a bottle of Sunkist (1986 Sunkist Fiesta Bowl), box of sugar, artificial orange.
Always looking for stuff to add to include all the bowl wins.

They need to add the Dead Hooker Bowl asap

No, it's an artificial orange......
I only go to sponsors when I can't think of an object for the bowl name. For example the Holiday Bowl in 1994.
So I'm looking for something that has to do with Thrifty Car Rental since they sponsored it.

To each their own, but what is the significance of the bowl win items if you didn't attend the bowl or get the item as a souvenier from someone who did? What value do they hold if you can replace them at the dollar store? I know that sounds dickish and I don't mean it to be. I know you attend games and buy gear and are a true fan, but why keep a fake orange in your closet and tell yourself it represents the 2000 orange bowl when it has no real connection at all?

Because it's part of a bigger project I'm going to complete some day.
There is a reason behind all of this.

How about a year-old Hyundai with cloth seats, a stench, and 80,000 miles on it?

Does your mom ever get upset about the ants? I got in trouble all the time in grade school for leaving sweets laying around in my room...

The best part are the pair of Harbaugh khakis on the left. Totally stands out among the maize and blue.

Although Michigan doesn't have the highest paid deal anymore, we still get the highest percentage of merchandise sales of any school. People buy a lot of Mich gear. People have different tastes in Mich gear and want a variety.
It doesn't cost the university any money for them to try a new shirt template, they can only make money. I don't see the issue.

I was a little more excited when I read the OP. These are udnerwhelming.
Some hats would be nice.

The sweatshirt would look awesome without the ridiculously huge reddish Nike patch monstrosity on the back.

Maybe they just put the jumpman logo on twenty year old inventory and are marking it up 1000% instead of shipping the stuff to a third world country?

I think they need to make the swoosh patch on the back a lot larger as it is hard to see.
September 21st, 2017 at 5:59 PM ^
actually reverse the design...the swoosh patch should be the "shirt," and the front should just be mixed into that.

Good things are going retro, as I hear their stuff is losing its appeal.

I like your idea of wearing the '97 "throwbacks" @PSU.
September 22nd, 2017 at 1:38 PM ^
Exact a mungo.
I like it for a game considering the context of the game (10 years ago - potentially two top 5 teams). Let's just be undefeated like we were in '97.
Even better, let's LEAVE undefeated like we did in '97.
