Florida RB Jordan Scarlett: "Michigan's DL doesn't move well sideline to sideline."
Florida has been running their mouth an awful lot leading up to this game.

Famous last words.
Edit: Number 13 in the background sure likes to touch himself. (per twitter link)

It worked out real well for them the last time they talked trash and underestimated us.
August 30th, 2017 at 8:48 AM ^
This guy is nuts. Brian Mone will be running down their tailbacks and tackling them sideline to sideline.
August 30th, 2017 at 10:13 AM ^
I can think of 41.7 reasons this chatter will work AGAINST Florida.

August 29th, 2017 at 11:12 PM ^
If you're going to talk, at least pick something semi-plausible. This is just comedy.
August 30th, 2017 at 7:23 AM ^
Excellent. But yeah, the idiot can't even make a logical argument. Most teams don't even rely on the d line to "run sideline to sideline". It's more the responsibility of the LB's and DB's.
August 30th, 2017 at 7:40 AM ^
If memory serves especially with Hurst he is usually running so fast straight ahead and over whatever QB or RB happens to have the bad luck to have the ball....dont think Gary is much different.
In my mind, I would much rather have a Dline that does that than one that has to run sideline to sideline....

Going off ESPN.com
This Taven Bryan kid has 1.5 career sacks in 2 seasons at Florida.
I'm a little confused by how no one can block him...or does he mean no one on Florida's OL can block him?
He's a former 3-star OT recruit from Wisconsin.
I won't provide any bulletin board material of my own, but I'll just say that comment leaves me a little confused. If anything I'd assume he'd be more like Glasgow than some kind of pass rush extraordinaire. But we'll see.
We've got Gramps, Bredeson, and Planet Onwenu on our side. I think they'll be able to hold their own - especially if you look at what they see in OUR practices.
August 29th, 2017 at 11:47 PM ^
Perhaps he is the type who is unblockable, yet never ever ever gets there.
August 30th, 2017 at 12:02 AM ^
Of course! The type that is unblockale, yet never ever ever gets there. Duh! Why didn't I think of that? That's got to be it. Yeah, those guys are tough.
*Wyoming...not Wisconsin.
August 30th, 2017 at 12:00 AM ^
Please don't insult Glasgow...
August 30th, 2017 at 1:01 AM ^
yeah hes a fairly stout player in the middle but nothing crazy. they have a tough starting front 4 (like always) so should be fun to see how the retooled OL handles. though hes a good player, if bryan is totally unblockable much will be due to kugler (and the guards) struggling rather than a top draft pick dominating.
if m executes they win, simple as that. coaching clearly favors m as does several other areas. uf has talent though (not to mention strong special teams) so its no cupcake despite what some have predicted. smart, efficient, tough ball wins it, as usual...and im hopeful...should be good game

What if they throw pawns at us and check mate us? Then what.
August 30th, 2017 at 3:00 AM ^
and considering Bryan is a DT, I assumed the comment to mean that no one can run-block him. He stuffs everything is what it seems like he meant?
You don't need to get a lot of sacks to be unblockable in the run game.
Obviously, this guy is just talking up his own teammate. I'm sure we'll be just fine blocking him (please, Kugler, block him when he's your assignment).

Exactly, those boys are going to kill some QBs again this year. Not so sure I like Mone on 2nd or 3rd and longs. I might go with Aubrey? Hope Mone proves me wrong. I just have to add after watching some videos, hearing all the talk and then looking more at some of these players, I've came to a strong conclusion. I'd bet some good money that this team is better than last years on both sides of the ball by mid season. These young guns are fucking good.
August 30th, 2017 at 6:02 AM ^
You are forgetting one key fact. Everyone on Florida has SEC speed, no one on Michigan has SEC speed.
August 30th, 2017 at 6:53 AM ^
I'd like to be able to make an over/under bet on the point in the broadcast where someone says that ("SEC speed").

This is very encouraging news, because it shows they aren't prepped super well, lol. You're telling me that Chase, Gary and Hurst can't move sideline to sideline? Lol, okay.
And I'm not scared of a dude with 1.5 career sacks

August 30th, 2017 at 9:14 AM ^
Perhaps not. Very real, indeed. And it's not speed I'm referring to. In any case, that's why they play the game. Respect is a dish best served with a hot engine and cold precision.
