Wake me up if he picks us. Otherwise, just let me continue my afternoon nap.
The OP is an OSU troll. Get this off the board, please, moderators.
At least he has a funny monicker. I will give him that.
agrees with you
What happened to him announcing yesterday?
Game of Thrones happened. You don't ever want to go up against a GoT season premiere.
That School Up North Remembers
I though it was the 16th. Eh, reading's a lost skill anyway. It'll all be on video soon.
Yesterday he announced that his dad was going to be on a new TV show.
I've got some great oceanfront property in Kansas to sell him
You know, it looks as if this place might have a small facility for doing some decent brickoven pizza, so at least there's that, and if nothing else, the beach can still be trimmed back with a simple lawn edger. Someone still might pick this property up actually. The only problem might be that you have to like campground cafeteria decor, judging from the overall shape of the place.
Where did you see that?
LMAO!!! What a gullible kid...
that doesn't really ring true for me is that IU TEs last year combined for 10 receptions, 93 yards, and 2 TDs.
Marcus Baugh (rising Sr, I think) at osu did have 24 catches, 269 yards, and 2 TDs. Still a far cry from Jake Butt, though, who had 1200 yards his last 2 seasons combined.
I don't know ...if Urbz puts him in an Aaron Hernandez type role, he might kill it! (thank you)
Then again, the last big time osu TE, Jeff Heuerman has yet to play a meaningful down in in the NFL after a LOT of draft hype as an "athletic TE" from Meyer's system.
Heuerman has unfortunately been injured for most of his young NFL career. Good thing Denver just drafted another TE to replace him :]
PS - Jake please stay healthy
He has had an injury bug, but it's been a few years now and taking Butt made it CLEAR how the Broncos feel. Most "Broncos insiders" have already written off Heuerman, especially with the McCoy offense, versus the double-TE sets with Kubiak.
Can't wait to see Jake playing on Sundays at Mile Hi!!
Come to Ohio State and play for Urban Meyer! We will make you into the next Aaron Hernandez.
Not sure if that's the greatest sales pitch.
Meyer after he realized what he just told Ruckert over the phone.
at osu. Offense will not be geared to the TE ... bank on it.
Seems like it would be easier for the kid to be on the morning show if he was going to school in Ann Arbor, but maybe they plan to have him appear remotely. Video conferencing has really opened up lots of possibilities.
Of course I'm assuming Meyer really has arranged this, which may be a mistake. Why would Sam want the kid on his show if he goes to OSU? I guess you have to pat the kid on the back for factoring in somthing other than football, but he should get Meyer to put it in writing.
Maybe Urban promised him he could play QB like his last great TE recruit, Tim Tebow.
I'd rather be Tebow than Hernandez...
... too soon?
If anyone ever disputes the idea that football brings everyone together, than I would like to point out those Florida teams where you had a saint throwing passes to a murderer.
I'm sure they're going to move to a TE friendly offense just for him. Just like their RB's coach wasn't leaving.
If he picks us, great. If he chooses OSU, oh well, ruckert...
Good luck at OSU. Bad TE usage and average academics. Playing the bitter card here :)
Ohio State is an elite research university. It's not an accurate portrayal to say their academics are average.
Agree to disagree, and it's much lower than Michigan.
Elite? No offense, but you are way off here. I'm not sure you know what you are talking about. Michigan, Berkely, Harvard, MIT, and the like, are 'elite.' OSU is good, but not in the same tier. Anyone actually in academia will tell you that.
Yep, it's no Slippery Rock...
he was clearly being snarky. Why so serious, mang?
Michigan is not on the same level as Harvard or MIT...sorry to burst your bubble.
Michigan is clearly a level above! ;)
Actually, you are wrong. Keep in mind we are talking about research universities, not undergrad. Clearly MIT and Harvard are far better than UM as undergrad institutions, but the difference in terms of research is not much.
According to NatureIndex (associated with Nature journal), Michigan is in the top 10 of research universities in the US. UM is #6, ahead of Yale, Columbia, and Northwestern, while OSU is #31.
https://www.natureindex.com/annual-tables/2016/institution/academic/all…
osu isn't elite, it's an ungodly large university with vast resources.
According to U.S. News & World Report 2016 rankings of the top research universities in the world, U of M is ranked No. 17, with a global ranking of 83.4. OSU is ranked No. 43, with a global ranking of 75.9. That makes us 7 1/2 point favorites. Sounds about right to me.
Michigan is ranked just ahead of University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, and the Imperial College of London. OSU is ranked BEHIND Minnesota, Maryland, and UC-Davis.
If they are elite, we are definitely "eliter."
