Unlike the sound moral compass of any other thief?

Eh, not him. He was a socialist.
Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat, otherwise we'd get along!

disagree with your stance. But a huge majority approve of the snarky comeback. Mgoblog gonna Mgoblog.
"When it rains it pours! We came home from Florida well relaxed and rested....well that lasted about 5 minutes. Our home was broken into while we were out of town and Jason's car was also stolen. Most importantly, they
Took a fire proof safe that contained our external hard drives with all of our pictures and videos. Yes those are of course very prized possessions, as they contain so many memories of Chad.
I don't care about the car or anything besides
Those hard drives!!! Pittsfield township police are doing everything they can to help. If anyone knows anything or finds anything, please call the Pittsfield tip line at 734-822-4958. We are offering a $500 reward for the return of those hard drives!!! No questions asked, we just want those memories back!!! Please if you know anything, or you find anything, please do the right thing. Those pictures and videos are all we have left of our son. Please!!"
How do you get those 5 big ones then though?
Fuck that person. Seriously.
This is beyond reprehensible.....
I hope they find these fuckers and put them away for a long, long time.
That's fucked up.

Hope his car has GPS. Although if it's been a few days who knows where it is now.
Well done. You receive full credit due. And when somebody someday steals your crap, well, even if it's your beloved's ashes reposing in an urn, or you perhaps, we can rest and say, "they get away with it all the time." Again, well done.
A neighbor may have video of their car leaving and then hopefully it will snowball into a successful recovery of all hard drives.
They are coming for you heartless perps.
Wow. There's some horrible people in this world. Hoping they can find the hard drives. Or find a way to recover those files.
Unless you are a cruel and unusual person. Yeah it sucks this happened, but dont get carried away.
I clearly do not understand the level to which some people do not give a fuck.
Not sure why the downvote(s). Most people lose data for other reasons, but it is a good reminder to have backups.
I do hope this gets resolved for them. I live in the same area and this kind of thing doesn't happen very often.
Unless its locked down and unmovable, its just a perfect target for anyone stealing from your home.
sadly, i doubt they will ever see those hard drives again. figure crack head thieves in the first place, then looking at life in the joint for the safe. not good.
everyone being so up in arms when the Stanford swimmer was given 3 months in jail.
It's almost good for the Carr family that someone stole the car. I doubt many investigative resources are expended to find a couple hundred dollars worth of harddrives, but grand theft auto should get a bit more attention.
This is heartbreaking though. I guess I'm uploading everything to the cloud tonight.
Clearly this isn't a thread if it's not the Carr family ....just some 'normal' Ann Arbor area household.
That said, it reminds me of when a woman injured during the Atlanta Olympic bombing had her house robbed while she lay in the hospital recovering.
I'm not one to suggest torture or defend thieves like this as some seem to be but ....there is most definitely KARMA in this world and lowlifes like these thieves will likely have a little something extra coming for them down the road.
