Congratulations to Beilein and Walton
John Beilen just tied Johnny Orr for the most wins in Michigan history and Derrick set the record for assists in a game. There have been a lot of great coaches (Orr, Fisher, Frieder, Strack) and guards (Burke, Green, Morris, Horton, Grant etc) over the years so both achievements are impressive.
had 5 steals! What a game. If he isn't first team all-conference, something is very, very wrong.
Trimble ain't got shit on him other than straight volume
...Has been on fire since the team was called white collar after the first Illinois game. As good a stretch of point guard play as I can remember at Michigan. And we all know what top shelf senior point guard play can accomplish in the Tournament.

but still soem work to do. Team is peaking at the right time, and could make some noise in the B10 trouney and the dance. Be nice to get a couple wins in the B10 and have a chace to get off the 8/9 line
Congrats to Coach B. If he can keep them fired up and focused throughout the tournament, they can beat anyone I believe. Defense and rebounding are the keys. If they get hot shooting the ball, they will surprise and light some team up bad after they get to the sweet 16.
While it was a poor era for Michigan basketball Daniel Horton was a really good college guard who I loved to watch.
was an offensive clinic.
I've been watching Michigan basketball forever, and we've never had a coach with as effective an offensive system as Coach Beilein. Walton was just masterful. Wow, he is on fire!
Last year it just seemed like he struggled handling the ball. This year he has such poise with the ball and has 18 new moves. Fierce and determined. Great season!!
GO BLUE!!
What was strange was that Walton came nowhere close to the triple-double; he finished with only one rebound. Given that his other three double-doubles this year were of the rebounding + points variety, that caught me off guard. (In fact, his only other career game with 10+ points and assists was last year against Youngstown State, when he did, in fact, get the triple-double).
Opponents don't know what to key on to stop us. Is it Walton, and his shooting, distribution, and ball handling? DJ and Moe and their ability to rain threes and drive to the hoop? MAAR, with the same abilities? Not to mention that I think Robinson has a 25+ point explosion coming.
Love our team (and our Coach). See you in DC
Way to end the regular season.
This is the second time now in JB's tenure that I've asked for his head and he's had the team come out and respond. I really, really want this team to surprise some people in both tourneys.
DW has Burke's refuse to lose attitude, I can see it in his body language.
Let's get it!
