Rb rotation if we land Harris
With all the news regarding Harris being positive for the good guys, I cant help but be excited for the rotation of running backs on the roster for the following 3-5 years.
I have to say I was very impressed and encouraged by the freshman backs this year, and apart from two or three games very disappointed by D. Smith as the starting tailback. (aside from pass blocking ability) I believe Chris Evans was the most dynamic back on the roster followed by Karan Higdon. With that said, landing Harris would not only make the back field that much better but I think the best stable of running backs in the country except for Alabama.
Harris- Speed, Power, Size, Can catch out of the backfield.
Evans- Speed, agility, can catch out of the backfield and in the slot.
Higdon- A balanced all around back but no elite at any particular ability.
Walker- Not convinced just yet on Walker. I believe he would be servicable but not an Evans or Harris.
The rest are Kurt Taylor and O'Maury Samuels Who I believe If we get Harris will not end up in this class.
The key will be the offensive line development moving foward. If they jel and our running backs compete like the way we belive they will with our coaching staff. Close games that we could not quite finish like Ohio State and Florida State will not happen again.

Not a knock on you, but I really do hate these threads. Too speculative. Maybe I'm superstitious or I just don't like being let down.

Calm down, its just a hypothitical topic, you guys get so angry about the possobilities of something. No need to neg someone because you cant handle a certain topic

and ye shall receive. Commence the neg-bomb!

I am calm. Also, if you checked the voting details, you'd see that I didn't neg you.

this isn't the Kentucky board.

Kentucky fans should worry about their own damned RB rotation. Jive Turkeys.

"Hey there, Cart. Look, I don't mean to complain, but you are, like, 30 or 40 feet in front of Horse. And since we need Horse to pull YOU, could you maybe slow down a bit? Or could you even back up a touch? OK, great, thanks."

if Harbaugh found a cowbell RB, he's going to ride him for about 25 carries a game. He did it in Stanford with Gerhart and Taylor.

I don't really care what the pecking order is. We would essentially put a guy on the field every down with the potential to break a 20+ yard run with a sliver of daylight. I would like to see how Walker does. Between him, Evans and Higdon, that's possibly one of the top RB tandems in the conference. If Samuels stays in the class, that's another guy with potential home run ability.
If we land the #1 RB in this class, our OL will be the only thing that could stop us from rushing for over 200 YPG.

I had the same question. Has the OP been able to watch practices or something?

Literally everything he said is just regurgitated bullshit that has been posted here ad nauseum. This place is getting out of hand, and fast.

This place is getting out of hand, and fast.Yeah... I miss the good 'ol days of WD tweeting opposing players.

sees that OP hasn't commented on his own thread for fear of a neg-bomb. Downvotes OP because there is nothing else that can be done.

3rd one (reply to comment #2)....go neg him, so in a few more minutes he won't be able to start more threads like this drivel.

Sweet! 183 points and counting. Here's a speculative comment - how long until negative points?

Bama's QB commit who's also down there says he and Najee are flying into Birmingham on the same flight, so maybe we'll wait and see yeah?

that a kid who has let nothing slip about his commitment, would tell his "roommate", that it's ok to comment to the press about his final decision. Just doesn't make sense, if true, this Tua guy sound like an awesome friend.
January 4th, 2017 at 1:19 PM ^
How many flights to DTW are there from San Antonio vs Birmingham?
January 4th, 2017 at 1:10 PM ^
Speculating that both Samuels and Taylor would decommit if we landed Harris is exactly what we don't condone on this board.
We can get back to this conversation sometime in February once the recruiting dust settles.

for "Big Blue" and uninformative post.

We won't land him.
He's just been trolling us.
He already has a flight, he already knows where he's going.
Tua sounds like a bit of a dick for spilling the beans though.

why I prefer OT season to 'crootin season. I am probably in a minority and may be a masochist in that regard but . . . if he wants to play somewhere else . . . OK. Cool. Good for him. IDGAF.
I'd rather talk about Michigan players who want to play for Michigan, or countertops, or what my favorite car is, or favorite Ann Arbor Bar is or whatever M related.

OT - What are you favorite movies?

OT - META: What should the new tagline for MGoBlog be?
OT - Another SEC coach is mad about Harbaugh's camps
