Aubrey Solomon Tidbit
Sam Webb just retweeted someone who took a photo of Solomon wearing a Michigan jacket today.
Georgia may not look as inviting all of a sudden, but it's hard for me to not see Aubrey as this year's Jordan Elliott.
Maybe all will be forgiven on both sides?

He's actually just mocking us for our adidas years, this is the opposite of a ray of hope...

But that never stops Clemson from pushing until the 11th hour for recruits.

I think instead of comparing this to Jordan Elliot, Isaac Nauta would be a closer comparison. Even though Michigan would be better for his skillset, he ended up going with Georgia b/c of family.
October 3rd, 2016 at 12:23 PM ^
Eason & Nauta may be forming a pretty sweet chemistry down there... that was a Helluva TD they connected on vs Tenn
I wouldn't say Nauta made a poor choice thus far - to the extent that ANYONE can be considered to have made a good choice when they choose another school over M
And as for M forgiving Soloman - for what? For going public with their mistake? I guess, but that is a pretty one-sided apology if one is indeed coming...

If that were true we would have the greatest D-line in college football history
October 3rd, 2016 at 10:58 AM ^
Keep this in mind for a May/June/July thread when we're bored and desperate. It'd be interesting to discuss/argue about the criteria for "greatest" and then look at great lines in the past in comparison to Michigan's (and THIS year's line would be a great candidate for "greatest", but let's wait for summer to dig in).

Malik McDowell disagrees.

But what if she's just, you know...'Mom', does UM have a chance then?

Didn't stop my dad. But that's another topic entirely.

I believe that would be a recruiting violation.

Would be really great to get back. I'm hopeful, but doubtful.

I hope we can get him back, but I doubt we will. Is that really confusing? Don't really know how else to express that sentiment.

Jordan Elliott was all over the map last year, with commitments to Houston, Baylor, Michigan, and then Texas, along with an alleged silent commitment to Texas previously. This situation doesn't hold a candle to Elliott's.
October 3rd, 2016 at 9:57 AM ^
Both players publicly voiced that they were 100% committed to us and had shut down their recruiting. And both have families that are pulling them home. Both are stud DT's, lots of similarities!
October 3rd, 2016 at 11:41 AM ^
That's all true, but 100% committed is never 100%. It's just a phrase people use, like 110% effort. The truth is, Michigan screwed up in their recruitment of him, and it cost them a highly rated player. Elliott was just flat-out wishy-washy. I have yet to see that out of Solomon.

a time I owned a Muskingum sweatshirt and wore it because it was warm and comfortable.
It did not mean I ever considered attending Muskingum.

Maybe he's been watching our attacking DL and is having 2nd thoughts...he'll still go to UGA.

I saw him wearing a Columbia windbreaker once.
He's serious about academics.

Way too much speculation from one picture, considering there's been no chatter to this point of him returning to the fold. My guess is that it's a cool morning (meaning anything below 75 in the South), and he grabbed the first jacket he could.

am not a fan of recruits who throw us under the bus like he did, which made us look bad. he commits, then momma says no, so he makes us look bad and publicizes implausible reasons why he decommitted. he didn't have to say that crap about the name misspelling and bbq note.
October 3rd, 2016 at 10:19 AM ^
I feel like you are making a bunch of assumptions here. Maybe he just changed his minds or had second thoughts. He said he was still considering Michigan. Yes, the reason was kind of lame but maybe it was handled correctly behind the scenes, we don't know. Harbaugh is still recruiting him so...
October 3rd, 2016 at 10:36 AM ^
Am not making any assumptions..... he didn't have to say what he said, period. Nobody is saying he cannot change his mind, but to throw us under the bus for it, I'm not keen on.... Am looking forward to the day where fans here won't behave as if recruits like Solomon are gonna save the program.
