You beat me to it. That's going to be a whale of 2ish weeks. If we have the kind of season we've been having in recent years, I'll predict 2-4 wins in that stretch.

*When we get at least 4 wins of those 6 games, we will be on the inevitable path to being Big Ten Champs.

If we have a season like the last two, we'll have 0-1 wins in that stretch.

I don't think I have ever seen (I know someone will scour Google to prove me wrong) a conference schedule where they sandwhich games like that in the span of a couple weeks. Home and Home's with Indiana and MSU, and oh by the way, here's an extra slice of balogna in the middle.

Bologna in the middle with Brats on the end...
September 21st, 2016 at 2:54 PM ^
That's a much more interesting non-conference schedule than last year.
Random notes: The game at South Carolina is Thanksgiving Eve. And we play MSU at Crisler on my birthday...not that anyone cares but that's notable for me.

Thanksgiving stretch of college hoops. There are literally marquee games that start at midnight around that time of year.

I feel like I'm more satisfied with this year's non-con than last year's schedule... but it could be better for sure.

Baby. 32-0.

at first I was like, what's that? But before I even clicked on google, it hit me, UMES is the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. It's not the same as the University of Maryland University College (a real thing, and a really redundant thing.) I'll give this to the state of Maryland, they really know how to name their universities.

September 30th..........we play them next weekend.

It's a tuesday and no where near the Wisconsin game - that's why I read and don't post.

to disagree. I like how much it actually overlaps with football. It comes along just around the time when the wait between football games is unbearable and is a good change of pace.

Tigers are still alive.
September 21st, 2016 at 3:39 PM ^
can't watch the Tigers when they are winning the division and going to the World Series.
There are boring things (waiting in a layover at an airport), really boring things (watching The Walking Dead), really really boring things (sitting in a big traffic jam) and then there is watching baseball. The first three can be begrudgingly tolerated from time to time. The baseball thing, nope, that's not going to happen.

Who is Furman?
September 21st, 2016 at 3:22 PM ^
According to MSU, not something to be messed with.

are the things surrounding this bird. They are the Fighting Furmans of Furman

late tips are horrible for someone who travels 100 miles each way and works days. In B1G 3 of the 4 weekday games are either 8:30 or 9:00pm tips. Of course Texas is a 9:00 pm. 20 year plus season ticket holder and this is about as bad as it gets that I can recall.

I can't wait for December 10th in Westwood!

is pretty brutal (as in bad).

But the real reaon I'm posting is to give another "fuck y'all" to the people who keep downvoting WD's posts even if they're informative/harmless.

Is it normal to play a college basketball game on New Years Day? That seemed kind of unusual to me and probably a bad idea...
September 21st, 2016 at 4:17 PM ^
It's not like anything important is going on that day. Just NFL games.
