How many former Michigan players made it to the NFL's final 53-man rosters?
Just curious if there was an up-to-date list floating around somewhere.
Edit:
I guess this technically isn't "OT," it was just moreso to be safe since it isn't the offseason anymore haha.
The answer is 17 players according to ESPN (thanks, Baxter and Dick Smalley)

He made the Jags as an UDFA last year after his post-Michigan year at Western Michigan, spent most of the year on the practice squad but was put on the active roster near the end of the season. They probably have enough depth currently on the D-line but like him well enough to continue developing him on the PSq this year and have him handy in case they need to activate him during the season.
PS: They still have 3 spots for their PSq, and many teams haven't yet finalized their squads so there's still a chance for some others who were in the final cuts. Brennan Beyer made the Ravens' squad for the second year.

nothing wrong being on the practice squad. especially a former walk on, good for him. practice squad players still make over $100k, better then sitting in a cubicle somewhere or being a gym teacher @ a midddle school.

How bad is it? Sparty has more on NFL rosters right now than we do. Plus, a lot of our guys are pretty veteran or just barely hanging on -- a year or two from now, the good chunk of those names won't be there.
Of course, there's going to be a mass exodus at the end of this season, to begin replenishing our NFL stocks. Not looking forward to that either.

Just to compound it, just saw that Ohio State had 41 players make the final cuts. Seems like their mass exodus last year boosted their numbers just a bit.

you didn't have to compound it. nobody asked you to compound it.

"The Eagles also cut long snapper John DePalma, cornerback Randall Evans, offensive lineman Andrew Gardner, defensive tackle Mike Martin, safety Nick Perry and cornerback Denzel Rice. They placed defensive end Alex McCalister (calf) and linebacker Joe Walker (knee) on injured reserve."

That would make it 26, actually. He's already counted in the seventeen, so it adds nine to the total.

Luckily Harbaugh will change that. A lot of young men donning the Maize and Blue are getting drafted in May.

If the ESPN list is accurate (probably), here's how it looks by recruiting class:

I dunno 'bout your (NFL) team, but mine has a pretty good ex-Michigan player:
Devin Funchess.
Go Blue!
(and go Panthers).

I'm pretty surprised Jake Long isn't in the league anymore.

He'd been placed on IR by the Rams, but never was able to come back and retired "because of injury" in 2014. Apparently he tried to come back and was invited to the Falcons camp earlier this year, but they never signed him, so I'm assuming he never completely returned to his pre-injury ability.

But both were put on injured reserve, just a month apart, late last year. Neither's on the current roster.
However, Larry Foote became the ILB coach for AZ, so there's that. And Harold Goodwin, former M O-lineman, is their Offensive Coordinator.

What about Houma?

Jacksonville has 4 Michigan alums (Chad Henne, Denard Robinson, Patrick Omameh and Jarrod Wilson) on their final 53 man roster. Even former Michigan transfer Richard Ash is on their practice squad.
