I know we are all excited about X, but let's just say he's not ready ala Carlton Brundidge. Let's say Ibi is a real project (as most expect) and isn't ready. It could get ugly. You're talking about having to trot out walk-ons or playing Donnal and Wagner together.
He will be in a sense if he doesn't start winning games. He doesn't recruit good enough talent to run that offense. Bring in Crean. Put his past aside and complete the circle. Jim would approve. Who gives a shit what you all think!

Every time I hear the name Dakich I want to....
We have at least 9 non walk-on contributors, most of which have positional flexibility. Who is this magic person that gets injured and resutls in us playing 2 walk-ons?
It sounds like he's first and foremost a defensive specialist. That'll be nice to have. It's been awhile. Who was our last true shut-down defender?
Gary "The General" Grant!
was probably Bernard Robinson, Jr. He even played a bit in the NBA thanks to his defense alone. We certainly haven't had any shut-down defenders in the Beilein era, but Stu Douglas was pretty good guarding guards.
Beilein's just never prioritized the skill in recruiting, and openly admitted a change in philosophy and followed through already with the hire of a defensive coordinator and now this transfer. Gotta appreciate Beilein's willingness to adapt (or at least, try).
Mike Griffin. And that turned out pretty well for everyone.

He's a regular transfer (not grad transfer), so he will need to sit a year.

he can only play D, but he supposedly does that really well.
Where do they dine after their one year?

THERE ARE NO RULES!
This year affects that big time. We need Simpson and Watson to step up and be ready to start in 2017, and Robinson, MAAR, and Wagner need to become consistent threats. I believe in Beilein and his new staff, but its still quite a young team then.
