Ya gotta swing at that pitch! Right down the middle...

Fuck.
Well, shit.
FUCK.
Wow talk about ending with a thud. What a terrible at-bat.
what a fucking cock punch, though
301 001 2 = 7 OU
000 300 2 = 5 Michigan
FINAL
If we play like that again, we're not going to like what happens afterwards.
Easy grounder ends it. Good battle in the 7th, but the insurance runs in the top of the inning proved deadly.
Rough game, but it's double elimination for a reason. We get another shot tomorrow, we're not out of this yet. I'm out for the night though. See you all later.

Need 2 wins tomorrow ladies.. Very possible
played poor D early and just didn't come out strong tonight.
Hope they make it into the finals and get revenge.

Do you give Dreisenga more work against FSU or is that playing with fire?
Showed fight. But we still deserved to lose that.
Left bases loaded in the 4th and 7th. Left runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 2nd inning (after having 2 out and nobody on). Fielding errors, walks and HBPs led to at least half of OU's runs. Atrocious base running and a crappy swing on the first pitch killed a potential rally in the 6th when we had momentum on our side. That top of 7th inning pitching was catostrophic.
Just a very rough night all around.
Need to turn things around in a big way.
and they had 7, fuck
Dang, not Abby's night at all.

Double elimination. You lose twice, you're out. We lost once.
Teams that win their first game and lose their second switch sides.
So now we must beat Florida State and Auburn twice to make it to the National Championship Series (probably will be against Oklahoma).
Oklahoma will play the winner of Georgia and LSU. But would have to lose twice to them to not make it.
Like your entire posting history.
Fuck off you baby back bitch.
Next game in twelve hours. How many times this season have we won three in a row? I'm no mathematician, but I think the answer is "a lot." Don't freak out.
Edit: Just FYI, we get Oklahoma again in the finals.
The cheap runs we gave them lost it. Everything we scored, we pretty much had to earn - maybe only 1 cheapie for us.
Sweeping Auburn would be real tough. Doable for this group, but they need to play better.
A lot of negativity here for a team that will be favored in all three games tomorrow.
What seed is AU?
A) we will only play 2 games tomorrow
B) Auburn is the #4 seed. We are the #2 seed. They will be playing with more rest than us, more time to prepare strategically and they will be the home team in the matchup. I definitely think we have a shot at this, but if you think Auburn is a team we "should beat", you are wrong.
They have 6 more hours of time to rest and prepare. Do you really think that will make a difference? This is women's softball, not a triathlon.
It helps. What hurts is that we won't have much time to prepare for them.
They finished their game at 8PM on Saturday and do not have to play again until 6PM on Sunday.
We finished our game after midnight on Saturday, have to play at noon on Sunday and then again at 6PM on Sunday.
Not sure where you're getting six hours from. That is a huge difference.
You seem to be operating under the assumption that this is an exhausting sport. It's not.
A half day extra to prepare and rest is not going to make one bit of difference.
For the pitchers? Hell yes. Especially when we basically only play one pitcher.
You are very wrong. Pitching is extremely mental and also becomes very tiring. Betsa is likely going to fall asleep around 2AM, have to be up by 8 or 9, and then, if we are to advance, be outside in the sun for about 6 hours, in the middle of the afternoon in humid, hot OKC. Throwing over 200 pitches. With a bad back and the mental blow of the game the night before. Definitely not ideal circumstances.
Meanwhile, both FSU and Auburn will have 24 hours between their games before us.

I really wish she would have swung on the 3-1 pitch. The pitch has to be a strike and the advantage is to the batter.
Despite the pitcher being wild, you have to be anticipating something right down the middle. Even putting a swing on it and fouling it off puts some more pressure on the pitcher and she will maybe be a little more weary on the next pitch to come right back in there.
Especially because Ramirez is a total ground ball hitter and there was a force out at any base.
She was not a good person to have up in that spot; just the type of hitter she is. She's best in a lead off type of role, not at drilling in RBIs. Give credit to OU's pitcher; she fought back.
You have to expect the pitch to be coming right down the middle or right in the zone. The pitcher was a bit wild and was not going to play with the corners there.
tomorrow, and then hopefully over the next few days.
There should be zero nerves on their part; play hard and aggressive, and have fun.
She's busy.
