This is fairly surprising, because we need the depth at LB.

If by "fairly" you mean "the opposite of" then you hit the nail right on the head.

That dude had a weird fixation on raptors. Like, parents, don't let your pre-teen raptors hang out with Dr. Grant kind of weird...

Ever since he was a kid.

Just look at that pervert's eyes. Full of gross dinosaur molesty lust...

Class. A true Michigan Man. Good luck to him in all his future endeavors.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:10 PM ^
Good luck sir - one of the few players I really felt I never was able to learn much about over these 4 yrs.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:20 PM ^
Whoah. That's really saying something coming from you.
January 22nd, 2016 at 1:27 PM ^
He was very highly ranked early in HS, at one time perhaps the top prospect in Ohio. He peaked early as an athlete. There are similarities to Swenson although Gant was not highly rated by the time he committed. Never heard a negative word about him or his effort nor anything positive about his prospects to play while at Michigan,

Why we haz no LBs?
Regardless, good luck to Mr. Gant in his future endeavors.

very few redshirt this year. Can already hear Brian cringing
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:33 PM ^
Perhaps this year's LB corps will be like last year's WR group. There were a lot of questions before the season started and we ended the year with a solid group that was performing at a pretty high level and showed flashes of greatness.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:12 PM ^
Now the media can spin "I have decided not to come back for my fifth year......" to "Jim Harbaugh said I'm not good enough to be here and he kicked my dog on the way out the door as well"
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:20 PM ^
And this will be the same media who will write fawning articles of praise about Harbaugh and his excellent work returning us to glory when Michigan starts next season 7-0 and reaches #1 in the polls.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:33 PM ^
Agree, but why did you stop at 7-0? Are we going to lose game #8???
Regardless, that was pure class on Allen's part! Wish him all the best wherever he may go and in life.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:10 PM ^
Why call him a horse? That was uncalled for.

That's cute, coming from a dog with a gun to its head.

Sorry, should have used sarcasm font.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:40 PM ^
I don't think the font matters, dog with a gun to its head guy constantly thinks his unfunny shit is going "whoooosh...."
Dude, no one's laffing cuz it ain't funny. Sorry!
Signed,
that guy

Angry much?
Happy Friday! :)

I thought the OP was funny

Is it just me, or does anyone else love it when the person that calls out someone for missing the implicit sarcasm misses the implicit sarcasm.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:51 PM ^
There's an obvious absurdity to what I had said. People getting internet angry over a 43 year old award-winning magazine cover is fairly commonplace so please excuse :)
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:13 PM ^
Don't saddle me with that kind of guilt. It's just an expression.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:10 PM ^
Good luck to the young man! Congrats on graduating!
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:22 PM ^
It's "GRATZ."
<sarcasm>

Leaving with his degree and always a Wolverine. I wish him well and hope he finds a great landing spot for his fifth year.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:11 PM ^
Best of luck, Allen!
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:15 PM ^
that makes me 3rd on the depth chart for LB.
January 22nd, 2016 at 12:17 PM ^
How's your compete level?

January 22nd, 2016 at 12:16 PM ^
I have to say, there have been some complaints (mostly from college coaches) about the use of the grad transfer, but it would be a shame for guys like Gant if it went away. He's filled his commitment to the University admirably over four years and now he will be given a chance to find another place to see the field during his fifth year. It would further expose the hypocrisy of the NCAA, who purport to care only about the "student-athlete," if it gets rid of the rule because some coaches can't stand to lose just a little bit of the control they have over a group of 18-22 year olds,
