I would like to express my distain for Joe Tessitore. What was he grown in some ESPN lab somewhere? Dude knows next to zero about college football--he may as well be a robot executing a program.

As an employee of this blog, I'm not allowed to tweet at recruits. I wouldn't do it anyway, but you're lumping it all in to one. Players on this team and high school recruits are different. I've yet to have a player tell me not to tweet out photos of them. I'll make sure to check with you before I support the players on this team though.

O'neil booted an 80 yarder and pinned MSU within their 10 3 times. Without him we lose this game handily.
The last play sucks, but on a night where the offense was off and the defense was bending, he kept us solidly in the game.

MSU moved the ball in fits and starts and were helped a lot by UM penalties. Also a significant chunk of their yardage came on that short pass that turned into a 75 yarder. When the game was on the line MSU bogged down. Cook did not win them the game.
The game was pretty evenily played. No one dominated at any one spot, save for Michigan in special teams until the end.

Some of those Conner Cook back-shouder passes, though.... man, you can defend against that, and he hit more than a couple of those. Without that, MSU is toast. Cook at least kept them in the game, though he may not have won it for them.

2 yards short of breaking Monte Robbins' record for the longest punt in Michigan history.
Ironically, that punt happened in Harbaugh's last regular season game as a player here in a road game at Hawaii in December 1986.

I remember that. Like all punts that long, it had a lot of roll. Also, Hawaii's field at that time was hard turf which added to the roll.
As an aside . . . .WTF, why do you need turf in Hawaii? Grass grows on everything there.

Not for the college football angle per se, I doubt they know much about it, but for the fact that there are a lot of Oz rules football players making their way up here to the States, and one of them now has the whole country buzzing.
