Theo Howard to Oregon
4* Thousand Oaks, CA WR Theo Howard has committed to Oregon. He was a fairly top target for the staff and had called Michigan his "dream school" in the past. Was supposedly visiting for the spring game, we will see if that still happens in the wake of his verbal commitment.
I feel like we'll start getting commits in April and beyond. Harbaugh probably wants to focus 100 percent on practice until it's over.
I'm going to stress eat now...
Also what does "dream school" mean to high schoolers these days. I assume the recruits must say it about a lot of different schools during the recruiting process.
Dream school aka any school above DII that offered me a scholarship to play a game.
(this is not meant as a slight but damn kids these days really need to differentiate between school I've wanted to go my whole life and random school out East.
Oregon's "resources" can turn them into any recruit's "dream school" in one visit.

One of the best comic relief characters in history.
it's not like they can't say he can't develop talent and when they say he doesn't know how to win, they just look silly.
The best one that I've seen is that he only went 29-21 at Stanford. Well duh! He was taking over a 1-11 team. He's not going to go 50-0 in that time. They're scared of him because they all saw the 2007 USC upset and 3 straight NFC championship games. They know that he's a good coach and are worried about what's going to happen to their teams after kicking us when we were down.
I don't think anyone should be worried about Harbaugh's recruiting ability. He is just now building relationships with kids who have been talking to other schools for 3 years, and he will still get a good class despite this fact. Theo Howard could be great at Oregon but how much will we miss a 6' 175lb receiver? Harbaugh is owning social media too, something I certainly didn't expect. We are fine.
with the kids on his own team! Fortunately, that seems to be going quite well.
I don't know why any receiver who wants to learn the craft of being a receiver for the next level would play in that system. There are so many turn and stand in space routes because teams get caught over playing the run.
Harbaugh will recruit lights out over the long haul and that includes huge improvement in the next class. Michigan gives him way more access than he had at Stanford. He recruited amazingly well there.

He got like 6 4 stars at Stanford one year where it's a lot harder to recruit to. We aren't coming off of a 1-11 season, have a much stronger football tradition, and have about 10 football recruiting staff members aside from the 9 on the staff which didn't happen at Stanford. I think we'll be fine. Who wouldn't want to play for a Super bowl coach? Even Urban Meyer doesn't have the NFL to sell to college players.
We're not going to get every player for one thing, but we will get our share of really good players.
The difference now is the ones we get will be getting developed as good as anywhere or better, we'll be fine, Go Blue!!!
"School X is my dream school" = "She has a nice personality."

Did Oregon ever get punished for that whole fake scouting report shady dealings thing?
1) Does this suggest we're not getting KJ Costello?
2) Its just one recruit, but I wonder if emphasizing California recruiting is a sound strategy. I don't think its impossible to get it going, just tough. And it seems like we're going to have a lot of tough misses.
Michigan will get a top 25 class and that's all that's needed. A prime example is Michigan state. It's about development and quality coaching. Rival criticisms are simply trying to diminish what's happening at Michigan. A kid that's a junior in HS committed to another school, move on.
