I was just thinking the same thing. I assume there is no sort of wavier he could receive if Mora were to leave? You'd have to feel for the kid if this were to happen.

Is there an out clause for an athlete who signs a LOI and then the coach leaves? If there is, does it become mute if you are already enrolled?
Mean while, come on down KLS and Clark!
January 5th, 2015 at 5:22 PM ^
Silent clauses are the worst.

But hilarious.

It becomes moo point.

Only in East Lansing...

Its like a cows opinion, it just doesn't matter. It's moo.

They were saying on another thread that if he doesn't go to class he can transfer to another school with no penalty.
January 5th, 2015 at 4:46 PM ^
In this, case let's hope he didn't go to play school.

To be honest, partially his fault for being emanored with and trusting a slimeball like Mora. Who knows the rules on transferring out? I know he has "paid" tuition or what-haveyou, but can he jump ship now?
January 5th, 2015 at 5:30 PM ^
Come on, that's not fair. Even if Mora is a slimeball (which I have no idea) it is not easy for a 17 or 18 year old kid to be able to see that.
January 5th, 2015 at 5:52 PM ^
I'm not buying into Mora Jr as a "slimeball." Also, if a bunch of NFL teams are offering him significantly more money than he can ever make at UCLA, he has every right to listen. People change jobs every day. Also, since Mora has approximately 85 kids on scholarship, I can't see where "trusting" him indicates any lack of character or intellect.
Anyway, it would be great if he took one of the NFL jobs that is out there.

i can see a 17 year old kid falling in love with ucla and its campus. girls are gorgeous. great weather. gorgeous girls, etc.

-1 for "emanored," that's how you talk when you get sent to bolivia!

If KLS (any maybe anyone else) flips to Michigan. "Just you wait until Harbaugh leaves Michigan and runs back to the NFL!"
January 5th, 2015 at 5:24 PM ^
Even if he is forced to transfer and sit out he's basically just committing himself to a RS year, something he was likely to take anyway as a freshman QB.
January 5th, 2015 at 8:21 PM ^
even QBs.

Not a great way for Rosen to start his college career....

I won't believe it until Adam Schefter says it might not happen.

For the love of Harbaugh, Woody, hire that man.
January 5th, 2015 at 4:33 PM ^
For some reason, having "Harbaugh" and "Woody" in the same sentence seems...well...wrong to me.
January 5th, 2015 at 4:27 PM ^
KLS?
January 5th, 2015 at 4:35 PM ^
Keisean Lucier-South, California DE committed to UCLA.

Typo. He meant KLF. KLF is gonna rock ya.

sick pukes. nothing worse than a 'KLF' sheep molestor.

for the Raiders job as well? Hopefully he leaves before anyone can enroll early
January 5th, 2015 at 4:34 PM ^
I remember reading from a thread a couple days ago that early enrollment, for Rosen specifically, already happened. It shouldn't matter anyway though, doesn't a head coaching change cause an easing of transfer rules?
January 5th, 2015 at 4:27 PM ^
I hope he gets the job...for the sake of potentially flipping KLS.

Reported two weeks ago that 4 NFL teams reached out to UCLA coach Jim Mora about pending openings, and SF and NYJ had serious intent.

Even if Mora doesn't land a NFL job this year, the fact that he is interviewing says he won't be around long. Maybe next year or the year after.
January 5th, 2015 at 4:31 PM ^
He also deleted his Twitter account yesterday, so he would seem to be as good as gone.
