They just mentioned Nico's awesome season thus far. Nothing but love for Nico.....
EDITED TO ADD: I forgot to put "1200 yards receiving". Way to go Nico!!

Somewhere at the parade, Brian got really, really angry and doesn't know why.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:02 PM ^
Not gonna lie, I *would* be kinda upset about the "passing game" especially this year with JJ.
BUT
National title. So I'm not going to be upset.
Run the ball, fine, just use the wrinkles and counters inherent in the Harbaughffense. Play defense, fine, just have it be a historic one, like this one.
Champions. I'm not gonna stress about anything until AT LEAST next season starts, and probably not even then.
January 13th, 2024 at 6:36 PM ^
This is my unpopular opinion as well.
Our all-time defense made it so that our offense didn't need to put a full game on their shoulders.
That seemed to cover up the fact that our offense was not playing up to it's full potential.
So excited to win the title, but hope that the coaches see that there's a lot of room for improvement in the passing game next season.
January 13th, 2024 at 7:32 PM ^
That's the thing -- Our coaches are smart; they know they're not utilizing the passing game. But they don't mind. They're going to be run-heavy, as run-heavy as is feasibly possible actually. But this is the key -- they want to evolve the run game to continue to introduce things they think that other teams can't stop.
You want to fling 8 or 9 guys at the LOS to "stop our run"? That's fine, we'll just put eight or nine excellent blockers on the line and block however many guys you bring. It may not work all the time against the best defenses, but when you have an all-world defense like in 2023, it'll be enough.
Now, will Michigan run into trouble when they find themselves *having* to pass? Maybe. It happened against Georgia in 2021 and TCU in 2022. But it didn't happen this year. Veteran JJ threw it 27 times against Alabama -- almost a 50/50 run/pass split in that victory. But against Washington? Michigan knew the run would work, and they leaned on it. National Champs.
So, the 2023 Wolverines were scary. A run-first team that can also run an effective passing offense when it's called for, with a historic defense that ranks up there with, dare I say, 2021 Georgia in its effectiveness.
A worthy National Champion indeed.

This post is stupid and you should feel bad.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:10 PM ^
Jesus this message board has been rejuvenated by Michigan's National Championship victory.
The arrogance is real and unparalleled
January 13th, 2024 at 5:36 PM ^
Naw, the original title was just pointless/stupid. Chill out mang.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:47 PM ^
never mind

Nico Collins w 2 receptions for 59 yards. Texans kick FG w 5:29 to go in 1st to go up 3-0
January 13th, 2024 at 4:59 PM ^
Watching CJ Stroud throw to Nico Collins makes me mad at the 2017-2019 time period all over again.
We could have had THAT kind of production. His entire Michigan career production has been equalled this year.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:04 PM ^
I get you, but no stressy, man! National Champions!

Hey, it's me, circa 2007 - 2020. Welcome to Grump-a-city.....
January 13th, 2024 at 6:35 PM ^
Dude, it you can’t be happy after struggling for over twenty years to get back to the top, finally winning a NC, and the best coach in college and pro, then I fear there is no hope for you!
/s on the “no hope”
January 13th, 2024 at 7:10 PM ^
Dude I’ve been flying high on the National Championship all week, and tracked down WolverineDevotee’s highlights on Rumble last night for both the Rose Bowl and the Championship.
That does not - in my opinion - erase the abysmal 2017 offense nor the inability to turn a roster full of NFL players into success in 2018-2019. Josh Gattis is an ALL-TIME bullshitter. 2017 is on Harbaugh and Drevno.
And I still need justice for Nico and DPJ
January 13th, 2024 at 8:08 PM ^
Nico got his justice today for sure. Now I'm hoping DPJ shows out for the Lions tomorrow!
January 13th, 2024 at 5:12 PM ^
Touchdown Nico Collins (Texans).
January 13th, 2024 at 5:15 PM ^
lol if only Shea was CJ Stroud.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:03 PM ^
Nothing like trolling the board with a troll-worthy OP title...
Fortunately there's an edit button and an impoverished South American country as possible solutions to this silliness.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:09 PM ^
Change it if you'd like. I got my quirky joke at the board behavior today out.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:13 PM ^
I knew it was a joke, and I liked it. So maybe I have the same good (bad?) sense of humor.....
January 13th, 2024 at 5:12 PM ^
any one else hate hearing Stroud to Nico for a TD?
January 13th, 2024 at 5:15 PM ^
Naw, because it's Nico. And Stroud showing that he's NFL-good just makes what we did to him so much sweeter.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:17 PM ^
everything you said is true, and is a logical statement. Despite this, I hate hearing Stroud to Nico. Call me what you will.
January 13th, 2024 at 6:39 PM ^
Stroud is actually a good dude and a great QB. He’s not at all like some of the others that came through (was about to say graduated but nah) that school.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:16 PM ^
I like Stroud honestly. He never beat Michigan and finally got the first time since time began, Ohio State has a successful NFL quarterback.
Plus they're fun to watch
January 13th, 2024 at 6:20 PM ^
And he’s from Rancho Cucamonga, which is just fun to say.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:12 PM ^
Jumbo package TD for Cleveland. Harbaugh approved.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:13 PM ^
Big game from Nico so far
January 13th, 2024 at 5:19 PM ^
Fuck. Peacock.
And fuck the NFL for putting money over fans.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:26 PM ^
So if you somehow can't afford to spend 5.99 on a month of peacock, there are a ton of easy ways to sail the seven seas and watch sports.
Personally I use Kodi with TheCrew addon. I have Peacock but I watch a lot of NBA and that addon allows me to watch most games in HD.
If you need a walkthrough of how to set up Kodi I'd be happy to help. It's pretty easy.
January 13th, 2024 at 6:36 PM ^
I sincerely appreciate your offer, but the point is I am now being asked to pay for something which, until this season, I always got for free. A media conglomerate and the most powerful sports league in the world, both worth billions of dollars, are holding me upside down by my ankles and shaking every penny out of me they can get.
Any way you slice it, this is a huge middle finger to sports fans while these giant companies get a few more bucks to throw on the pile.
Please forgive me if I am not jumping at the chance to subscribe to a streaming service with a handful of sports events I might watch and a lineup of worthless sitcoms and boring dramas I wouldn't look at if the only other show available was a test pattern.
January 14th, 2024 at 6:40 AM ^
Here’s the way I see it: I’ll sign up for one month and then cancel. It’s the price of, like, one drink at Starbucks, or one pint of craft beer (at almost any restaurant/bar).
I did notice, though, that Peacock’s exclusive premiere of Oppenheimer is on February 15—outside that one-month window if someone just subbed yesterday. Because of course.
January 13th, 2024 at 7:00 PM ^
Unless sign-ups are disappointing, the nfl will look for additional pay-per-view like ways to extract money out of its fans. I've resisted peacock thus far, including a tomato can Mich football game and a should-have-been-a-tomato can Mich basketball game.
January 13th, 2024 at 8:10 PM ^
+1 for sail the seven seas.
YAR.

FlacoPants?
January 13th, 2024 at 5:39 PM ^
Shame that Stroud missed that deep shot just now, you would think that he would be experienced with safeties from OSU whiffing against receivers from Michigan going deep
January 13th, 2024 at 5:47 PM ^
Stroud did that to not embarrass his Ohio buddies
January 13th, 2024 at 5:42 PM ^
This game makes you wonder how much the Carolina Panthers are probably kicking themselves for drafting Bryce Young instead of CJ Stroud.
January 13th, 2024 at 8:26 PM ^
Every game this season has them thinking that.
I never want to hear a word about Wonderlic again.
January 13th, 2024 at 9:15 PM ^
This season makes you wonder how much the Bears are probably kicking themselves for trading the #1 overall pick to Carolina instead of drafting Stroud.
January 13th, 2024 at 5:46 PM ^
They should have kept the "MICHIGAN" in the end zone.
January 13th, 2024 at 6:01 PM ^
CJ's only opportunity to beat Michigan I guess.
Sort of like last week, he finally was able to win a game in Indianapolis.
