Feel-good 30 seconds, great home video of Rod Moore's INT

yeah but who bought the ticket for the cameraman huh

Please be careful about bringing this up - though, thankfully, not much has been written about the topic recently - which I hope is also the case for the next few weeks.
I will admit that my wife and I may have gotten Michigan into trouble once again. For the second time in three years, we’ve captured images in an electronic format of the Michigan - Ohio State game - signs were involved - and most importantly - an assessment / analysis of those signs as well.
The signs which were captured - respectively - in ‘21 and ‘23 were… “42-27” and “30-24”. If this constitutes a material breach and reflects Sportsmanship / Code of Conduct issues - I hope the Michigan family accepts our apology. I’ll serve any suspension imposed.
Our assessment included - Michigan demonstrated what kind of team they are on the field.

1. Cool video
2. Needed something like this after the previous thread topic
3. I'll have to take your word for it on the interception. Between the one dude's head and the lady with the pom-pom I wasnt able to see very much. But the sound was nice, never get tired of hearing that roar!
December 12th, 2023 at 10:58 AM ^
The pom-pom is the sign for stealing a pass. This is what Petiti was complaining about...
December 12th, 2023 at 12:41 PM ^
OMG… Michigan had been doing this for years. And, there were tens of thousands of fans sending that signal / sign to the team.
This is much more widespread than anyone could have conceived.

You know, looking at this + the TV broadcast, I was thinking:
Even if McCord wasn't hit during his throwing motion - say our pressure got there a split second later - you still have Moore crashing on the route/moving in front of MHJ. It's entirely possible there would have been a pick in that scenario.
That said, what happened happened and wheeee :)
December 12th, 2023 at 10:37 AM ^
Moore was sitting on that route...if McCord throws it earlier, Moore breaks earlier. He was in position to cover a lot more ground if it was an accurate and on time pass, he actually waited and (comparatively) slowly stepped in front as he was going to the ground.
December 12th, 2023 at 11:05 AM ^
Yeah I will say that we've all been guilty of the same thing but there were lots of OSU fans Zaprudering the screenshot right before McCord's elbow gets hit and falsely concluding that he definitely had a wide open TD bomb if Jaylen Harrell doesn't Munford the OSU lineman
December 12th, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
It seems to me that MHJ could have expended a bit more effort to be disruptive on both picks. That’s just my view and I’m sticking to it.
December 12th, 2023 at 11:59 AM ^
I agree with that too...the first pick especially he didn't finish his route, nor did he try to break up the pass
December 12th, 2023 at 12:06 PM ^
He was polite even as he ripped their collective hearts out.
December 12th, 2023 at 11:50 AM ^
Harrison pulling up was decidedly Un-Biletnikoff of him. He didn't want the contact.
December 12th, 2023 at 12:13 PM ^
Michigan’s receivers understand that blocking is part of their responsibility. Buckeye receivers do not have this as part of their job description.
Just check their NIL agreements - the Bucks receiving corps is only responsible for catching a pass.
December 12th, 2023 at 12:40 PM ^
I've read dozens of posts at 11W and OSU Twitter that this was "a big completion to Marv and possibly a touchdown" if McCord doesn't get hit. I guess when you look at a still photo just before McCord releases and MHJ is "open", you can assume the ball will travel at the speed of light to the receiver and nobody will be able to make a play on the ball. Just like all of the still photos showing that "guys were open but McCord couldn't find them."
December 12th, 2023 at 1:13 PM ^
It may not have been McCord's "best game ever" - but, it's not like he was in the tank either.
McCord completed 60% of his attempts - and, his YPA was a fraction higher than JJ's. He delivered very accurate passes into tight windows - and, their receiving corps hauled them in.
What I haven't heard any / many Buckeyes say is - "the defense needs to get stronger".
The one stat that I feel is notable is: over the past three Michigan v OSU games - in the combined second halves - six quarters - the Buckeyes only forced one (1) Michigan punt. Yes - one punt in six quarters - THAT is the elephant on the table.
I think it's just fantastic that the Buckeye brethren are so focused on McCord's shortcomings and don't realize the impact a defensive stop can actually have.

Where is the outrage at a paying ticket holder posting video footage online about a game that 100k+ other people watched live?
Where is the ncaa?
WHERE IS PETTITI?!!!
December 12th, 2023 at 11:21 AM ^
This must be a copyright infringement of some kind.
OMG, I just realized - Schembechler Hall, the Glick, they all have images of Michigan playing football. Have those images been “approved” by Petitti, the other teams in the B1G, and the NCAA? If not - I can only imagine the fallout - those have to be L1 violations of some kind.
Oh, the humanity…

Rod Moore is awesome. He was at the Somerset collection and literally was waiving off handlers telling him not to take any more pictures. Dude was in a sea of people all singing Mr. Brightside and seemed to be having the time of his life.
December 12th, 2023 at 10:04 AM ^
All videos of that pick... Are great!!!
December 12th, 2023 at 10:41 AM ^
Another Ohio kid that comes back to bite them in the ass!
December 12th, 2023 at 11:07 AM ^
So Rod Moore is an ass biter? Are we not doing phrasing any more?

all i noticed is a helicopter in the background, hovering over the stadium..... Connor Stalions was probably in it, recording the ohio state sidelines.
December 12th, 2023 at 11:26 AM ^
How about the Surveillance flyover before the game? Do you really think that was “just a coincidence”?
Where was that plane after the flyover? Does anyone understand that aircraft also has a “cloaking” capability which renders it invisible?
December 12th, 2023 at 12:16 PM ^
Think you're on to something. If you take pictures with a drone, it's not "in-person" advanced scouting.
December 12th, 2023 at 10:56 AM ^
TIL that Ohio State fans don't know what Black elbows look like:
CONTROVERSY: Rod Moore played the ENTIRE GAME with an elbow — and possibly as many as two elbows— including on the game-clinching interception. https://t.co/iweipbukPp

Loved that there were hardly any buckeye fans in the stands that day.
December 12th, 2023 at 11:13 AM ^
Great now we’re gonna get investigated again
December 12th, 2023 at 11:15 AM ^
My favorite part is watching Josh Wallace watch the play!
December 12th, 2023 at 11:19 AM ^
What a moment. That must've been amazing to witness live.
I've still never been to a game at the Big House.
December 12th, 2023 at 11:23 AM ^
The game a few weeks ago against OSU was great. Fantastic atmosphere, etc…
However, I believe the atmosphere for the ‘21 game against the Buckeyes was the best ever.
Not sure what others think…
December 12th, 2023 at 12:16 PM ^
Not sure - Toss in the '22 game in Columbus and still not sure.
December 12th, 2023 at 1:19 PM ^
Yes, the road game in 2022 was definitely the best atmosphere in the Big House. /s
December 12th, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
I really felt like 2021 was better - not sure if it was louder, or the snow, or the feeling that "we're finally going to beat OSU" that built throughout the game. This year the crowd was great, but I spent the whole game thinking "God I hope we don't lose, because we're the better team."
December 12th, 2023 at 4:12 PM ^
After the FG put us up 30-24, we probably were thinking the same thing. “Get a stop”. There was another thought that I’d prefer not to share…
So very glad it turned out like it did.
On to Pasadena, Go Blue,
December 12th, 2023 at 11:59 AM ^
this was the first year in a long time I didn’t go to one. Had tix to Bowling Green game but couldn’t go. Never been to an OSU game though.
December 12th, 2023 at 12:22 PM ^
I honestly think the luxury boxes with their angled faces direct more crowd noise toward the field of play - instead of upward.
The issue was - during prior coaching tenures - there wasn’t a lot of play to really get the fans into the game.
December 12th, 2023 at 12:15 PM ^
It was amazing to witness live.
December 12th, 2023 at 12:15 PM ^
The euphoria afterwards was even more amazing to witness.
December 12th, 2023 at 1:24 PM ^
Don't feel bad Putin, I've been to one, and it was Hoke's last game when we lost to Maryland in the rain. We laughed at the announced attendance being over 100,000 because it definitely was not. I think atmosphere-wise, I would have rather not gone to any game at all as well.
December 12th, 2023 at 11:33 AM ^
My daughter was sitting right across the field in the first row. Great video.

96,
Good to know.
I'll sleep better tonight knowing your daughter was there.

That was an awesome moment. Now players really need to keep their helmets on until they get to the bench. We have seen a number of questionable overturns come via replay, and that simple lack of discipline could have turned the game if the interception was overturned.
