Some positive vibes today

Submitted by TK on October 26th, 2023 at 7:22 PM

There’s been a lot of buzz today about the meetings with the NCAA being positive overall and there are people breathing a sigh of relief. Seen from some different places there’s been to proof of other coaches involvement.

Here’s a paywalled discussion on the Fort if anyone is interested but it appears things have moved in a positive direction at least at this junction. There’s a long way to go, but rivals thinking that Michigan would be reduced to a smoking crater might be disappointed in the end. Let’s hope.

For me the biggest thing today was seeing how pretty much every opponent knew that Michigan was stealing their signs. If they knew that and still didn't change any of their signs when they played Michigan, or didn't change them enough from the ones they previously had, then to me that's just dumb. Apparently TCU was the only school who took advantage of it by injecting random signs to fool Michigan. Good on them. OSU also apparently changed their signs the week before 45-23, but honestly it made no difference because their DC was Don Brown 2.0 and had the exact same coverage every single play.

there is no way that every team didnt do what TCU did. literally my first thought when I heard people were sign stealing was that if i was an opposing coach i would just fuck with them. if thats literally the first thought i had (as a passing thought when reading a random tweet), there is no way that every coach doesnt try to do this when they are literally sitting down with their team trying to solve the issue.

TCU is the only one to say they did it because they are the only ones who won. if OSU comes out and says they did it, they just look even more stupid for getting blasted at home by 20

When they say they "knew" Michigan was stealing signs they thought it was IN GAME sign stealing. They did not know michigan was sending people to 8 games to steal every single sign they had and then used all of those.

OSU changed most of their signs before the game last year but they didnt realize the signs they changed them to were signs that michigan already had because they had been to SO MANY of their games.

You guys are so idiotic its actually funny.  A school that PRIDES themselves on being smarter than everyone else cant understand basic logic. The fans being this delusional is probably my favorite part of all of this.

I live in Michigan and most of my friends are michigan fans. Half get it and the other half who I would say are typically pretty smart refuse to actually connect the dots. Its going to be glorious when the fall happens.

Reading must be tough for you. Yes they changed MOST of thier signs before the game. What they didnt realize is that you alreday had all the signs even the ones they changed them too becuase it wasnt just IN GAME sign stealing.

IT was a huge scheme to know our signs no matter what they were changed to. THe only way we could have countered it would be to completely create a whole brand new sign language.

You cant do that mid week and you wouldnt do that if you didnt know they were going to all the games you had before hand and scouting your signs.

You’re so close I can taste it.

2021 we thought they were stealing signs in game but couldn’t confirm until after the game. So now we know some sort of sign stealing is happening. Presumably legal at this point.

2022 changed everything. We changed most signs going into the game. Now not all but most. We did it for 2 reasons.

1. to bait you on certain plays (probably didn’t work like TCU did)

2. if somehow you knew the new signs quickly it would mean that it wasn’t in game anymore. when you immediately knew the ones we changed it showed that it wasn’t in game anymore and there must have been pregame sign stealing somewhere.

Michigan outed themselves. When this investigation is over. It’s all going to show Matt Weiss and his kid porn addiction was the beginning to the end.

LOL, man these stories you are making up just get deeper and deeper. im loving this.

so to clarify your made up story -- ohio state learned that we were stealing signs in 2021. so they purposefully slightly changed their signs this year to see if we could figure them out quickly to prove to authorities that we were sign stealing?

and, they did this instead of just changing all their signs to try and win. based on your now additional made up facts, they had a YEAR to prepare new signs (not a week like you said) since they apparently figured out we were stealing signs in 2021.

You sure are teeter tottering here my man. earlier they only had a week to change signs and that wasnt enough time. now they purposely didnt change signs so they could purposefully use to bring the NCAA down on us.

i am done poking holes in your made up stories, but thank you for the laughs.

dude you really cant read. I never said we notified authorities?

2021 we thought after the game they may have been sign stealing legally.

2022 we realized it was much more than in game sign stealing

2023 this game out before we could use it to our advantage. Ryan Day would have preferred this to not come out so he could do basically what TCU did but this all came out early.

Ryan would never want to show his hands. It was unfortunate that it came out early.

This all stems from Matt Weiss's investigation and the AAPD bringing it out.

They really are hamstrung by not being able to publicly defend themselves.

There needs to be a “on my mark, unleash hell” moment in terms of putting it all out there

This is by far the funniest story of all time. Michigan fans are delusional. This is going to come back hard on you. This isnt just sign stealing. This is so much deeper than that and for some reason you all are acting like it isnt.

When Urban got caught helping a woman beater OSU fans were naive that he didnt know. You all were all up in arms saying there is no way he didnt know. Now 5 years later listen to you all. This is going to be one of the biggest in game cheating scandals of all time in college football.

NO other school in america has an elaborate scheme to go to all of their upcoming games to record and thier signs and then marry those signs up to the games to know what their plays are. i agree everyone tries to steal signs in game but to go to all these games and record signs is the issue.

"why dont you change signs game to game" is something that you all keep saying. I love that argument for you. You had tickets to 8 OSU games. How many times would you like a team to change thier signs so that you dont know them in a game where its very time consuming to just focus on signs week to week. Most teams go into the season with 5/6 sets for the year. You dont have time to do it week in and week out.

everyone saying 11.6 and 4.11.h arent related makes me laugh.

11.6 - you cant scout future opponents in person

4.11.h - "Any attempt to record, either through audio or video means, any signals given by an opposing player, coach or other team personnel is prohibited."

now your argument for this is that they arent related and that 4.11.h pertains to games where you are playing that opponent.

You realize that is a terrible argument. The reason why is because  YOU ARENT SUPPOSED TO BE AT THOSE other games to begin with so why would they put in a rule that says you cant video other games when its illegal to be there regardless. Obviously its going to be illegal to film those signs since its illegal to be there.

I cant wait until the hacking all comes out. Michigan is COOKED. You all are in denial and its hilarious.

Urban Meyer broke you all. He made your beloved head coach do something that you guys/girls cant even fathom. I get it. You all dont understand the depth of this. You think its just sign stealing. No big deal. losing to OSU For 20 years made your team do something that is so outrageous it cant be true. I almost feel bad for you all.

i think getting your head crushed these last two years broke you, dear buckeye.  first, losing to the three star mafia has ruined life for the finest football factory in the world.  second, you come from the original cheating school, buying players, money taped to the bottom of their locker room chairs, tattoo-gate, etc.  third, your most 'famous' coaches all left in disgrace:  woody, tressel, and meyer.  you sold your soul to the devil and don't even have one.

further, other than ohio jock-sniffs like you (and some sparty's, but nobody cares about them), the rest of the football world thinks this is a yawner.  i mean, when guys like paul finebaum, the guy who hates harbaugh, says its a joke, you can take your cue that you are way, way off base about how the world is going to end.

face it, you are scared to death of harbaugh and U of M.  it's okay to admit that.  and we are very likely to continue that trend next month.  please come back and talk trash.

Trading tattoos for merchandise was illegal no doubt about it. But what it isn’t is in game cheating.

in game cheating puts the integrity of the game at risk.

coaches that have spoke out aren’t understanding the depth of it. They think during the game everyone steals signs.
go listen to the whole Matt Ruhle clip not just the first half.

once these coaches realize it’s much more than during the game they will walk back everything they said.

you’re hanging your hat on deon sanders. Which is comical because a month ago your fan base hated him.

I can’t wait to watch it all fall apart on you guys.
