Some more detail from CBS sports:
Did he borrow Tuck's 3 wheeler?
Blame the tunnel.
Damn- glad to hear is doing well considering the accident

agreed - hope he is ok and soon back to full strength
Yes. We need him on the OSU sideline.
Are you using a text to speech app?
Yeah, ATV accidents can be real scary. Glad he's ok.
1am?
WTF?
Probably a little inebriated. I had a friend kill his 4 year old daughter a little drunk on a four wheeler. That was super sad
You think?
"Nothing good happens after midnight" -- my brother, after a decade as a cop on graveyard shift.
All the good things happen after midnight.
Sounds like a ride-along is in order.
Save that for the boot lickers
I once found $5 on the ground at 11:30pm. That was good and it happened before midnight. So not ALL good things happen after midnight.
I think that can be said regarding 2am.
Plenty of good shit happens between midnight and 2.
Some of my best stories are because of "nothing good happens after midnight"
No good story starts with “Hey let’s go out for a salad”.
Happened at 1:20 am. Wondering if a fair amount of post-game drinking was involved.
Mama was right, nothing good happens after midnight!
When I was stationed in Oregon fighting forest fires, we had a party at our cabin one night, and I got smacked by a stick. I noticed the smack but not the bleeding. Once someone did notice—the dried blood in my beard came from a small cut but looked like massive head trauma—it took a lonnnng time to get down the mountain to the hospital.
Because we only got to the ER at midnight, the first 2 doctors on call refused to come, assuming someone needing stitches after midnight was a drunk fool. (Opinions still vary.)
Wait. Sorry to get sidetracked by a personal anecdote. What were we talking about?
Oh, yeah. A Bucknuts leader had to go to the hospital because of an accident after midnight. I hope he's okay.
Still suffering ptsd from that I see.
White Claws. 2-3 of em
With a shot of whiskey in each. At least that’s how I used to roll when I drank Mike’s Hard Lemonade. It’s a rocket ship to the Magic Kingdom.
Turn on your Hartline! Get loaded then off we go...
The last time I was on my quad late at night I had a few pops myself, so I'm sure that was a factor. I didnt wreck like this guy though thank God. Rolling any kind of 4 wheeler is no joke.
I kind of assume the ATV lifestyle involves lots of drinking and riding and this kind of stuff is inevitable when these activities are combined.
I hope he makes a full recovery and has a long, illustrious career coaching somewhere else after this year.
No. I think we want him to keep coaching at OSU.

Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Emeka Egbuka would beg to differ.
Five likely first-round WRs in 5 years on the OSU bench would suggest that he may be good at his job. WR play is absolutely not the reason UM beat them twice in a row.
He is damn good at his job there is no doubt. The one thing I will say is that Matt Millen was enamored with WRs. Also OSU hits its peak with WR talent and production and proceeds to lose back to back games to U of M. Its not their fault at all but maybe extreme focus on Wrs and the passing game can be detrimental to ones National Title hopes? Maybe OSU built their program to hang with Bama and Georgia and forgot about the rock part of RPS.
That's not Hartline's call, though. The problem is their defense, and Day just doesn't have the mind for it. He needs someone who's going to actually take the reins and build a real defense. I don't know if I accept the premise of an "extreme focus on WRs". I think it's more likely that they just have a really good WR coach who's developing them well, and they haven't found someone as good at coordinating a defense.
Ask him now if he can beat up Mike Hart
“I didn’t hear no bell”
-Randy Marsh
Looks like he got the violence he was seeking
Prayers. He will hopefully become an HC very soon.
Hopefully he's okay physically.
Mentally - it might help him to sit in the dark, in the quiet for 365 days & wait for the light.
Go Blue.
No electricity in Ohio yet.
Hopefully he will be fine. It would be a good chance for him to reflect on life and decide he doesn't want to coach anymore. Time to take it easy and enjoy life.
If fact, he should announce this right away. The portal is open. It's only fair to his receivers that they have the opportunity to transfer before the summer.
Man, trouble just seeks out OSU receiver coaches. They make some...terrible choices. Hope he has a swift recovery and can take the time out to reflect on his own.
I hope he handles the offense as recklessly as he handles his ATV
Perhaps he was behaving in ways that are commonly associated with being an idiot.
Rivalry stuff aside, glad to hear he's doing okay. ATVs can be scary
Lack of judgement and personal responsibility are more dangerous.
Urban Meyer, Zach Smith, Brian Hartline...hmm...who is next??? This is who you want your kid playing for??? Not a good look here.
Way OT: OSU OC Brian Hartline crashes Against The Victors at home
How is that off topic? Anyways, old news that his offense crashed at home against the Victors in the 2nd half.
Atv wrecks and Ohio go hand and hand. This time of year here in southern Ohio it seems like a daily event unfortunately. A kid just 2 weeks ago was on the back of one with his dad, who was drunk or high, hit a guide wire going across a closed road. The boy died, his dad didn't.
I hope he's fully recovered in time for his whooping in November.
Very on brand.
Mike Hart was on his lawn…
Best wishes on a speedy recovery. We all do things we wish we hadn't. I hope Brian is back to full health this November when we crush his Bucknuts.
I want our rivals in full form when we beat them. I want them to win every game until we play them.
