Michigan: The #2 team in back-to-back playoffs. This time, facing a team that we are favored to beat by 9.5 instead of being picked to lose by 9.5. The 2021 season felt like a dream; it is just unimaginably sweet that we are that much better this year!!
December 4th, 2022 at 12:31 PM ^
Agreed with the sentiment but 2021 Georgia would be favored by 15 against 2022 TCU.
go blue!!!!!!!!!
December 4th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
2021 Georgia would be favored by at least 7 against 2022 Georgia to be fair.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
Agreed!
December 4th, 2022 at 12:41 PM ^
Not to mention, team attitude is WAY different this year. Last year it was satisfying enough just to beat OSU and win the Big Ten. This year they clearly want more than that.

December 4th, 2022 at 12:56 PM ^
Team goals are all still in front of these guys.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:24 PM ^
They got it right. TCU. LFG!!!
December 4th, 2022 at 1:15 PM ^
I know it's hard to beat a good team twice in a season but how sweet would it have been to beat OSU yet again?
December 4th, 2022 at 1:40 PM ^
Watching them go through the SEC version of our meat grinder while in Georgia no less will still be a treat.

Back Door Bucks. Trademark it,
December 4th, 2022 at 12:26 PM ^
I think the trademark would have to be "THE Back Door Bucks".
December 4th, 2022 at 12:28 PM ^
THEE. You have to say it like a smug asshole. Lol.

Now let's not be sore about it...
December 4th, 2022 at 12:39 PM ^
Seriously. This is the second time in the past six (non-fake) seasons that OSU’s gone to the CFP without even winning the B1G East.

Sounds like a porno.

TTOB.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:25 PM ^
They got it right. If Ohio State can't deal with our physicality, they're not going to be able to with Georgia's.
Beat TCU!!!

#5 is Alabama, #6 is Tennessee.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:44 PM ^
Ha ha. They couldn't even put USC there. What a joke.
December 4th, 2022 at 1:03 PM ^
I thought the same...but I just came back to change my mind.
You can't put USC ahead of Utah, they beat them twice. It's not like it was just the one 43-42 game.
December 4th, 2022 at 1:22 PM ^
They have no problem putting Bama over TN..
December 4th, 2022 at 6:51 PM ^
Alabama didn't get boatraced by South Carolina. Alabama is a better team than Tennessee with stronger advanced stats, despite narrowly losing the head to head game on the road.
Much like we were better than MSU despite them beating us last year. Not that difficult a concept to grasp, is it?
December 4th, 2022 at 9:45 PM ^
And if Tennessee beat them twice...I think they would.
If USC hadn't lost to Utah twice, and say their 2nd lost was ND.
I'd have no problem with them at #6.
But you can't put them ahead of a team that beat them two times and only has one more loss.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:25 PM ^
You had to wait far too long to be able to hit "save."
December 4th, 2022 at 12:26 PM ^
As expected. Avoid the rematch. Can't punish TCU for a 3 point OT loss against #10 KSU in a championship game.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:59 PM ^
They also just straight up have a better resume even after the loss.
December 4th, 2022 at 2:46 PM ^
But would you bet on TCU if they were playing Alabama next Saturday?
December 4th, 2022 at 10:07 PM ^
Hi, Coach Saban!
December 4th, 2022 at 1:02 PM ^
The BCS rankings prior to yesterday’s games were 1. GA. 2. UM 3. TCU 4. OSU. The committee got it right this week. It’s also what the rankings should have been last week. If so and USC won they should/would have jumped OSU. Instead they put USC at #4 and dropped them due to the loss of Utah. It was the wrong way to get there but the correct end result.
If I was a GA fan I’d be mildly annoyed that being the top seed didn’t result in having the most favorable matchup. Either way, if any of the top 4 teams don’t like their matchup they are looking at it wrong, you have to beat the best to win regardless of where you’re ranked. 1-4
December 4th, 2022 at 1:39 PM ^
If Michigan can pound OSU in Columbus, it’s hard for me to envision Georgia having many problems with OSU on a neutral field.
December 4th, 2022 at 1:44 PM ^
A hammer and anvil will have the same effect whether on a buckeye in Columbus or one in Georgia.
December 4th, 2022 at 4:10 PM ^
The Peach Bowl is a neutral field in name only.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:26 PM ^
I would imagine TCU and Michigan would play at 4:00 on New Year's Eve, with Georgia and Ohio State playing at 8:00. We'll find out today though.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
They said this is how it will be. Good call.
December 4th, 2022 at 12:26 PM ^
Good. They did the right thing. Make the idle team go through Georgia. And hey, if they do us a favor and knock them off—we’ll just have to beat their asses again.
December 4th, 2022 at 1:01 PM ^
It would be interesting to see how we cover both MHJ and JSN sharing the same field.
