Scott Frost gone on Oct 1 unless he beats Oklahoma? Maybe even if he does?
September 10th, 2022 at 11:30 PM ^
And so many UM fans were so sick for so long over Harbaugh’s first 6 years.
Imagine being a Nebraska fan tonight.
September 11th, 2022 at 12:11 AM ^
Scott Frost (16-31) needs to win 53 games in a row to match Jim Harbaugh's winning percentage before the 2021 season, when he was 49-22.
September 11th, 2022 at 7:51 AM ^
“It was my understanding there would be no math.”
September 11th, 2022 at 8:13 AM ^
Yea, but Harbaugh has to sprint at full speed into a cinder block wall 113 times to equal the hitting force of Scott Frost’s physical teams.
September 11th, 2022 at 11:14 AM ^
Don't think he hasn't already done it!
September 11th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
I don't think it matters if Frost beats Oklahoma by 80. He loses way too many winnable games. He's no better at that in year six. Nebraska wants to at least contend consistently in the West and Frost has taken them further away from that.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:25 PM ^
I'm not proud of my taking joy in this, but ... I don't really know how to end that sentence.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:27 PM ^
Reminds me of the Brady Hoke era where I was cheering like crazy when our LB intercepted U Conn's QB near our goal line to end their final threat. Then I thought, OMG, we just needed a spectacular INT to beat U Conn.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:48 PM ^
That was before the wheels had completely come off, early in 2013. But it was clearly a big alarm. Excellent callback.
This game right now is like when we lost to Rutgers and Maryland: it’s clear it’s over.
September 11th, 2022 at 12:08 AM ^
I remember exactly where I was watching that game. And wasn’t Akron the next or previous week?
September 11th, 2022 at 12:49 AM ^
Akron was the previous week. And that whole time period was just batshit crazy. We went from looking like world beaters against Notre Dame (I was literally so happy after that game that I couldn't sleep) to watching a tire fire Akron team complete bomb after bomb after bomb against our defense.
I've never experienced a shift as quick as that in my entire fandom. In a matter of one week, going from jubilation and excitement about the season to complete paranoia and dreading games down the road.
September 11th, 2022 at 1:45 AM ^
It's really weird how Hoke's teams would start the season just looking like world beaters and the next week few weeks look like complete dogshit, they did the same thing in 2014 honestly looking like a well oiled machine against App State and then getting shutout by Notre Dame the next week.
September 11th, 2022 at 10:54 AM ^
I remember there being no shortage of people here trying to defend Hoke after that Akron game. It blew my mind how vehemently some were still digging their heels in on that one.
September 11th, 2022 at 11:40 AM ^
I remember the skywriter spelling out 'Hoke' early in the Akron game and at the very end was thinking we are going to lose this game.
September 11th, 2022 at 9:14 AM ^
Desmond Morgan absolutely saved our ass against that awful awful UConn team. The same UConn team who lost by 15 to Towson and 29 to Buffalo the week after us and (Warde Manuel) fired their coach
September 10th, 2022 at 11:33 PM ^
The word you're looking for is schadenfreude.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:45 PM ^
Giggity
September 11th, 2022 at 12:44 AM ^
I'm not proud of my taking joy in this, but boy does it feel awesome to see mommy's boy fall flat on his face again.
September 11th, 2022 at 11:25 AM ^
Not terrible enough...
September 10th, 2022 at 11:26 PM ^
How, Scott? How?
September 11th, 2022 at 6:15 AM ^
The ghost of Lawrence Phillips is sabotaging his career.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:26 PM ^
He will be fired before he gets to the locker room.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:29 PM ^
Doesn't Nebraska get a discount if they wait until October 1?
September 11th, 2022 at 12:43 AM ^
Like an $8 million discount. It will be painful and awkward, but they will wait until the first game after Oct 1
September 11th, 2022 at 12:51 AM ^
If I were Nebraska I'd gut it out until the end of the regular season and then fire him. I'm not a fan of having an interim guy "audition for the job." Frequently the team temporarily rallies behind the interim coach, since the players fear change, and then the AD ends up hiring a guy he'd never have considered in a normal search. (ND may be in this situation with Marcus Freeman.)
I'd just wait to the end of November, rip the bandaid off, and conduct a legitimate search.
September 11th, 2022 at 7:54 AM ^
This is a great point.
Isn’t it how USC ended up with Clay Helton?
September 11th, 2022 at 9:30 AM ^
Same with Ed Orgeron @ LSU.
September 11th, 2022 at 10:54 AM ^
And Bill Stewart at WaVoo, even though he only had that one bowl game
September 11th, 2022 at 9:16 AM ^
Not a good situation when casual fans know the exact moment a buyout drops
September 10th, 2022 at 11:26 PM ^
Coached by Clay Helton.
September 11th, 2022 at 12:04 AM ^
This needs to be emphasized more
September 10th, 2022 at 11:26 PM ^
you love to see it.
suck it Frost.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:27 PM ^
But did Nebraska outhit Georgia Southern????
Scott's Mom is not going to be happy 😂😂😂
September 11th, 2022 at 12:05 AM ^
I understand now why the o-line was puking so much in fall camp and it wasnt the workouts.
September 11th, 2022 at 11:08 AM ^
It was late. Thankfully, she was probably asleep. I hear he cancelled her Internet and Newspaper subscriptions, a la N. Korea, and she is under the impression that this will be his fifth. consecutive National Championship.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:27 PM ^
Scott’s mom says he’s handsome.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:27 PM ^
BIG TENNNNNN!!!!!!
September 10th, 2022 at 11:28 PM ^
Is this the Sun Belt's best day ever?
September 11th, 2022 at 8:51 AM ^
Is this the Sun Belt's best day ever?
Really great day for them. Makes me wonder what the best weeks for small conferences has been.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:28 PM ^
I feel bad for Nebraska fans right now. It's not funny anymore that they are this snakebitten. They aren't an elite team anymore but they should be better than what they have been.
I'm fine with Frost dealing with the losses, though.
September 10th, 2022 at 11:38 PM ^
It's not snakebit when your coach is just an incompetent douchebag.
September 11th, 2022 at 12:35 AM ^
This is why I really want Frost fired, because I do feel sorry for their fans, but I will never root for that guy.
September 11th, 2022 at 12:45 AM ^
I feel bad for that one fan who posts awesome videos after a loss for NEB.
September 11th, 2022 at 12:49 AM ^
So does this mean we're going to get another video post by a pissed off Nebraska guy in a bathroom resisting the urge to slit his wrists?
September 11th, 2022 at 1:04 AM ^
Losing way too many Big Ten games or trips to Oklahoma by one score is “snakebit”. Losing to Georgia Southern just means you suck.
September 11th, 2022 at 9:07 AM ^
At home!! lol
September 10th, 2022 at 11:28 PM ^
Mother Frost just hates to see it!
September 10th, 2022 at 11:28 PM ^
Fire 🔥 Frosty 🥶 Now.
