OL Health?
I was trying to find snap count info to determine whether Michigan's preferred OL started against PSU, but didn't see it anywhere I expected. Who played against PSU and is that Michigan's preferred 5? If not, who's missing and do you think it had any effect on OL play? I know some guys were banged up over the past few weeks, but the guys didn't talk about the OL much on the pod. TIA!

From what I gathered it was all covered on the "Offense vs. Penn State Defense" last week.

It appeared to be the preferred starting five (Hayes, Keegan, Vastardis, Zinter, Steuber) with a number of Trente Jones snaps sprinkled in as an extra OT.

Hope Hayes settles in for OSU(and of course Maryland). Just got spanked one on one last weekend. I have had him pegged as the next Lewan for some time now, hope it works out!

Hayes definitely struggled this week. Need him to step up and be the guy we know he can be.

Hopefully only certain aspects of Lewan, not all of them.

Username definitely checks out.

Aside from the afore mentioned Hayes having a rough day in pass pro, I thought the line played pretty well. PSU has a decent DL even without Mustipher, and Cade had decent time in the pocket most of the day. Haskins’ 156 yds speaks for itself. I was happy with the OLs performance…

Who was the lineman playing at number 80 last week?
I think it was on the O-Line but the UM roster doesn't show whoever it was.

I THINK they said it was Jordan Whitley, and the size suggested that is correct.

Jordan Whittley only plays NT and his jersey number is 3.

#3 is an eligible receiver number!
Maybe he lines up as a full back during the OSU game.

Trente Jones alternate jersey number so he doesn't have to declare eligibility. He is at a tight end position.
November 15th, 2021 at 5:42 PM ^
so we can expect him to catch a TD against osu.

Trente Jones wears 80 instead of his usual 53 to qualify as an "eligible receiver" as a extra TE/T.

Touché *tips cap*

Why don’t they put Jones’ name on the 80 jersey? He is more likely to enter the game as 80 than his normal jersey number. Just put his name on the jersey.
Is there another player they may use as the 6th olineman in addition to Jones? If so, can they make an 80 jersey with his name on it too? I really feel like we can afford to let Jones wear a jersey with his name on it. /rant

I don't know if it was Trente Jones wearing #80, but I half-heard an announcer say something about Trente Jones slipping on a different # jersey to play as a jumbo TE on a few plays on Saturday. I've definitely been hearing some good things about him lately.

Trente Jones came in as an extra "Tight-End" in a Tackle body. LOL

Trente Jones. They said it a few times during the game.

Trente Jones. He has been doing this for quite a few games now. They talked about him during the broadcast

Mike Jones - who???
November 15th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
That was T. Jones, pretty sure anyhow.
*whoops, beyond late to the party.

Where have you been hiding? The annual comment is in, and it is helpful as to be expected.

Rumor has it that it was Michael Barrett.
