Can’t wait!
November 6th, 2021 at 10:53 PM ^
Don’t worry- Fox will find a way to make you wait
November 6th, 2021 at 11:44 PM ^
It’s ABC. That’s better than fox right? I honestly don’t know but fox feels like the worst.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:59 PM ^
I am thankful it is ESPN/ABC. I want to personally cancel that Fox/B1G contract. The commercials tonight were not as egregious as the Big Noon game against MSU and others. The Big Noon games make me thankful for DVR.

The opening drive in the 3rd quarter had back-to-back full media time outs per injuries alone. Seemed like it took over 20 minutes for Michigan to finish their drive.
I noticed on ESPN2, the IL v MN game barely took 3 hrs to play. There were less full media time outs. Yes, both teams run the ball a lot but the game had a better flow, less long disruptions.

Agreed. I hate everything about the Fox coverage. I don’t like the announcers. I hate the pregame and studio analysts - Quinn, Bush, and Leinart are terrible. The production value is subpar. Way way way more commercials.

This is good for the good guys.

Night games in November look miserable.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:16 PM ^
Won't happen anymore unless both teams agree. Which we wouldn't agree to road night games and OSU is obviously a noon kick.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:16 PM ^
Crap, have a 6 year olds bday party to go to. Was hoping for a later start.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:35 PM ^
Unless you've been hired to attend for whatever reason, skip it or watch on your phone
November 7th, 2021 at 1:03 AM ^
It's family, my wife would not take kindly to me skipping.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:50 PM ^
Dude, there's a pandemic. COVID is the greatest excuse for getting out of things known to man.
(no politics, just pointing out the obvious benefit of having an out for anything imaginable)
November 7th, 2021 at 8:34 AM ^
Despite all of that, college football stadiums are once again full and it's great to see that all of the fans are back.
November 7th, 2021 at 7:32 AM ^
Whenever we’re doing something with our 5-year-old that conflicts with a Michigan game, I DVR the game. It’s actually nice to be able to skip through the commercials. Downside is that you have to have three discipline to not check scores, social media, etc.

Does anyone know the Rose Bowl's tiebreaker rule? If one team makes the CFP...and the next two are tied...who goes?
November 6th, 2021 at 11:23 PM ^
I think they just pick whoever they want.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:50 PM ^
I don’t think there is a rule. They’re not obligated to take anybody past their initial B1G champ-PAC12 Champ baseline. In years past, if one is not available, they replace with whoever they want. Now the CFP Committee determines all NY6 games, keeping bowl ties in mind.

I’ve got this weird kink where I hope Michigan NEVER schedules ND again, but gets to play them in a bowl in the years they don’t make the playoffs.
if Michigan doesn’t win out, I want to see them absolutely maul a fraudulent ND in California. The ratings would be great, and we get to play a rival without indulging their “don’t need a conference, we play who we want” attitude.
November 7th, 2021 at 5:27 AM ^
According to the Rose Bowl website, it is the next highest rated team in the CFP standings, unless there is someone close in the rankings that they want more. (Paraphrasing, but that's the main takeaway)
That's probably good for Michigan if you would like to see Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

It'll be interesting to see what the Network is...
November 6th, 2021 at 11:32 PM ^
This is very good news. I would think this spread will grow to -3 by the weekend depending on the injury report.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:35 PM ^
If true I hope it's not on FOX. I'm tired of 10,000,000 commercials and 10,000,000 Gus Johnson freak outs, and I know we'll have both for the OSU game.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:45 PM ^
ABC. I think it was written in the contract we only have to listen to Gus Johnson once in November. For the sanity of the fans.
November 6th, 2021 at 11:47 PM ^
FOX will have Oklahoma/Baylor at Noon.
So if PSU/U-M is at Noon ... it wouldn't be Gus.
November 7th, 2021 at 12:07 AM ^
Official…Noon kick on ABC!!!!
November 7th, 2021 at 12:19 AM ^
Fuck. McDonough.
+ Blackledge, who isn't terrible, but isn't good...however, isn't at home, meaning, fuck.
Give us the Orlovsky team, please!
November 7th, 2021 at 2:00 AM ^
I don’t mind Blackledge at all, but I’m going to be really pissed off if an important play is about to happen and they’re showing him in the booth eating a damn sandwich.

Freudian slip this year: he accidentally types USC and just copies/pastes.
November 7th, 2021 at 10:32 AM ^
The thing I like best about that post was that he didn't copy/paste, as there's a "Michigam" in there
