New 2022 RB offer to Wake Forest commit
Offer went out to today to Demond Claiborne, trying to flip a recruit, currently committed to Wake Forest.

I like his film, he's has some good top-end speed.

That would place him as the 8th highest ranked player in the class.

If he’s going to Wake, we have no shot at him.

Before we all crap on Wake, the program's been decent the last 5 years and the RB position consistently overperforms.

If Wake were in the B1G they would be our Northwestern or IU - a pain in the ass but usually a win.

Agreed. Northwestern is a pretty good comp in terms of their W/L. Purdue in terms of style of play.

An annual challenger for IU's "Chaos team" title would be fun.

He actually topped that with a 10.67 time at state championships a month later. That is true 4.40 speed.

Maybe all of his speed is in the last 60 meters. He could run a 5.2 40. He'd be the ultimate specialist. He's only on the field if the team is outside the 50 yard line.

Ha he'd be a true threat in the CFL!
Brian has linked this analysis before, but this is what I use for conversion: 100m to 40yd dash.
247 does something similar but I'm not exactly sure of their methodology.
Somewhat related, but I came across this site that uses AI to scout football players (thanks to EJ Holland for retweeting it into my timeline). Thought it was pretty interesting, as they essentially measure athleticism and production from film. They've put out some rankings for the 2022 class. Notably, they didn't rank Will Johnson, but have Tyler Morris in line with his 247 composite. Recent WR offer Kaydin Pope was listed as one of their elite WRs.

We are after Wake Forest talent now lol

I don't downvote frequently but I downvoted you for this idiotic post.
Talent comes from anywhere.
Reminder: Saquon Barley was going to Rutgers before Penn State flipped him.
I think the funniest example is when "2 star" Khalil Mack of freaking Buffalo wreaked havoc on Ohio State and he looked like a man amongst boys despite all of Ohio State's highly ranked 4 and 5 star players. Not even the shit-talking Buckeye fans over at elevenwarriors could talk shit about Mack because many begrudgingly realized he was better than any player Ohio State had on its team including Joey Bosa.

I'm partial to two stars who don't go to camps because have other things going on, but are diamonds...

Wasn’t Jonathon Taylor also committed to Rutgers for a while?
August 11th, 2021 at 5:32 PM ^
Le'Veon Bell had a total of 4 offers. Marshall, Bowling Green, EMU, and MSU. It does happen.
If Mike Hart sees a diamond in the rough that is committed to a lesser school, are you saying he shouldn't take advantage of it?

FWIW he deleted the tweet announcing that he received an offer from Michigan. Also FWIW, he's the second highest rated 3 star RB on 247. Film looks good. He's so fast he makes fast people look not fast. Would be a good back to pair with Stokes.

I’m all for talent. Go get it. Your not beating OSU, but go after what you can get.

What about my not beating OSU?

Verified 4.36 40 time also, not just fast but good balance and body control. Wondering why other SEC schools haven’t went after him
