NFL Week 3 Fantasy
Let's get a Fantasy thread for the week going:
Looking to figure out my week 3 starting roster. I have to start 3 of these 4 as my 2 WR & Flex.
Allen Robinson
Terry McLaurin
Diontae Johnson
Joshua Kelley
My initial thoughs are to do McLaurin, Johnson & Kelley, just because Robinson has struggled so far this season. But everyone is pumping him up this week because the Bears are going up against the Falcons and their horrible pass defense. I would probably swap Robinson for either Johnson or Kelley, but Johnson's targets have been crazy and Kelley is running against the league-worst Panthers.
Thoughts?

I'd go with Robinson, McLaurin, Kelley. A lot of competition for targets in that Steelers WR group between JuJu, James Washington and Claypool. Robinson and McLaurin are both the go-to guys in their group. If you're set on playing Johnson, FLEX him and sit Kelley.

Second this...please be healthy this week Davante Adams???

Robinson and Johnson are no brainers. Not nearly as much of a split in Pittsburgh as you stated. Diontae has over a 30% target share and is likely the 1 to JuJu's 1a. But yes, I think it's still the 3 WR's. They are the #3, #13, and #16 leaders in targets over the first two weeks. Much rather have all of them than Kelley who on his best day is still in an even time share.

Yep, I think you're hoping for TD luck with Kelley. Wouldn't have put him in my three if he weren't facing that awful Panthers D.

Wentz or Minshew?
September 24th, 2020 at 4:01 PM ^
Minshew against the Dolphins. He's looked too good so far to not start him.
September 24th, 2020 at 5:38 PM ^
Minshew. Got to give the guy credit, he's certainly looked good so far, especially with what he's been given to work with. He's going up against a Dolphins defense tonight that is far more suspect than what he's played against up to this point. Wentz has underwhelmed so far and already has four picks to his name.

Neither of these comments aged well. I started him tonight and paid the price. Now I have spotted 20 points to the other guy.

If you swap Robinson in (which I think is a good play), get rid of Johnson.
I'm having a tough time picking between these 4:
- Calvin Ridley
- Tyler Locket
- Adam Thielen
- Stefon Diggs
I think Ridley is a lock (even with the tougher matchup), but I'm having a tough time on who to leave out.
September 24th, 2020 at 4:42 PM ^
Are you in a 6 person league? Ridley > Lockett > Thielen > Diggs for me. They are all top 15 WRs, so wouldn't stress too much.
September 24th, 2020 at 5:03 PM ^
10 person league. I've had Diggs on the bench for the first two games just to see how he plays with a new team. The only thing that worries me is Thielens last game (mainly because of Cousins' terrible performance) only got me 3.5 points.

*NM, Already asked!*
Good lord how do you have all of them?
September 24th, 2020 at 5:26 PM ^
I picked Thielen, Ridley, and Locket in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds respectively. People were sleeping on Diggs because I was able to get him with the 2nd pick in the 8th round.

I'd sit Thielen, the Vikes offense looks terrible
September 24th, 2020 at 4:09 PM ^
Need to start 2 out of the following (full point PPR):
Joshua Kelley
Leonard Fournette
Desean Jackson
Marvin Jones
September 24th, 2020 at 4:16 PM ^
That's a tough one. I'd say Fournette for sure, then not sure between MJJ and Kelley. I'd probably decide on Sunday morning and go with Kelley if Kenny Golladay is active.

My NFL fantasy is that the Lions are going to win 12 of their last 14 on the way to their first Super Bowl win.
What? Not that kind of fantasy? Damn it.
I guess I’ll just watch the last professional football title game from Detroit (featuring Michigan great Anthony Carter).

I would be the dumb blonde in the movie if the movie required one.

I'm just hoping to go a week without a player getting hurt mid-game. Lost LeVeon Bell in week one, Saquon Barkley and Will Fuller (I guess?) in week two, and I drafted Kenny Golladay. I also have Deebo Samuel, but I drafted him with every intention of putting him on IR for a few weeks.

*Update: Fuck Fantasy football....goddammit these Thursday night games suck ass*
Flex spot needs appraisal:
Odell Beckham (CLE WR) Not sure I trust him yet/again...
Darrell Henderson (LAR RB) Looked good when put into the lead role, though the backfield may get busier this week?!
Keelan Cole (Jax WR)...*EDIT: Oh shit, DJ Chark is out injured too* currently in the spot, he's gotten good target and catch #s for two weeks now yet no one seems to notice the guy -I got him on waivers yesterday and no one else even went for him /shrug
September 24th, 2020 at 6:32 PM ^
Would need more info such as if you are in a PPR league.
If so, I'd suggest Keelan Cole with Chark out tonight. Henderson has only 2 catches on 3 targets in 2 games. Leaving money on the table in a PPR league.
If not, go with the RB.
September 24th, 2020 at 7:07 PM ^
Yep, PPR league. I think I'm sticking with Cole. Thursday night games scare me as I've been bitten over the past few seasons with teams playing shitty on Thursdays and getting few pts from position players. It's Jax vs a seemingly good matchup MIA defense so I'll roll the dice I suppose.
September 28th, 2020 at 1:52 PM ^
I gave you bad advice. Henderson was a rock star on Sunday against BUF. My bad.
September 24th, 2020 at 6:59 PM ^
Anyone else do points only league? I clearly forgot the actual name for it or am too stupid to remember but in our 8 man league the tip 4 scoring teams make the playoffs. Then the top 2 out of that group move on and so on.
Just interesting and I actually enjoy it but hardly see anyone talk about it. My team is 0-2 at the moment but it's so nice not to worry about record or going against someone who's team just went off even if you have a good week ruining your season.
September 24th, 2020 at 7:55 PM ^
I've been yearning for years to go to something like this....top 5 scoring teams each week get a W (10 team league)...lowest 5 an L. Proceed as such through the season. Weekly matchups to me are silly in this type of gambling/game! You draft and assemble a team to score pts, and should get rewarded for scoring high! Not penalized when you face the best team that weak and lose only to see you would've beaten every other team in the league!

My week 3 fantasy is that the Lions finally fire Patricia after a week 3 thumping by Arizona.
