Burrow 1 to cincy
Lions 2 take Young
3?
Patterson goes in 3rd or 4th.
Bredeson in 2nd
December 22nd, 2019 at 7:53 PM ^
Patterson in 3 or 4 seems optimistic. He seems like a 5 or 6 kind of guy to me. Same with McKeon. Khaleke Hudson in 4/5. Lavert Hill in 3/4. Nico and DPJ, if they choose to go, could go anywhere between 2-4 depending on how things shake out. Runyan and Onwenu are 3-5. Metellus is 5-7.
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:25 PM ^
Nico and DPJ are staying. In my opinion.
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:41 PM ^
I can’t believe Nico is staying. There’s no way he’s really staying is there?
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:50 PM ^
In my opinion... he will 100% stay unless he has a ridiculous game against the Tide that puts him into the first rd.
December 22nd, 2019 at 11:14 PM ^
There is no chance Nico goes in the first round. DPJ will be a mid first rounder if he comes back. He is a late second to mid third rounder this year.
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:48 PM ^
I don't see Hudson getting drafted.
December 23rd, 2019 at 12:38 AM ^
You sir,have 20 - 20 vision .
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:56 PM ^
Metellus won’t get drafted. He gets beat deep by any player with speed all the time.
December 23rd, 2019 at 12:37 AM ^
Any GM that uses a draft pick on Shea should be fired.
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:01 PM ^
I like Patterson but he isn't going in 3rd oes r 4th round. Really doesn't seem like he does anything overly well, below average size, speed, accuracy is average and same with arm strength.
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:42 PM ^
Agreed. Patterson would be, maybe, a 6-7 rd or UFA.
December 23rd, 2019 at 2:37 AM ^
I can see a team taking a flyer on him in the 5th. I see him as a late round guy but not a UFA.
December 22nd, 2019 at 7:11 PM ^

powerful stuff. what is the legal limit on those?
December 23rd, 2019 at 12:17 AM ^
Only want to draft players who are
(1) as fast as lightning
(2) have expert timing
(3) are a little bit frightening
December 23rd, 2019 at 5:37 AM ^
i'd prefer someone who could:
1) sweep the leg
2) put wax on. Wax off.
December 23rd, 2019 at 5:49 AM ^
i hope folks appreciate sopwith's reference to the original jack black and ceelo green masterpiece, 'everybody was kung fu fighting'.
Everybody is Kung Fu fighting,
Your mind becomes fast as lightning
Although the future is a little bit frightening
(little bit frightening)
It's the book of your life that you're writing
(life that you're writing)
You're a diamond in the rough,
A brilliant ball of clay.
You could be a work of art,
If you just go all the way.
Now what would it take to break?
I believe that you can bend,
Not only do you have to fight,
But you have got to win

The Lions will draft a turd
December 22nd, 2019 at 7:18 PM ^
Who u want them to get?
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:42 PM ^
The best offensive or defensive lineman available
December 22nd, 2019 at 7:36 PM ^
Lions will flip a coin between Jerry Jeudy and Ceedee Lamb.
December 22nd, 2019 at 7:40 PM ^
I thought Young was staying another year... So Okudah or Jeudy?
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:03 PM ^
Young not staying no way
As for Ohio State cornerback, I'd have to look but I'm pretty sure a cornerback hasn't been taken in top 3 picks last 20 years and quite possibly even top 5 either.
December 22nd, 2019 at 10:11 PM ^
It is not uncommon for corners to be taken in the top 5. It happened in 2018 (Denzel Ward), 2016 (Jalen Ramsey), and 2011 (Patrick Peterson). I only checked back to 2010, but I don't think that's an unrepresentative sample. Considering how many positions there are, corners seem to be valued pretty highly. And as pro offenses have become more and more focused on the passing game, corners are becoming even more valuable than they used to be.
December 23rd, 2019 at 12:16 AM ^
Yep, and other reason corners are going higher is that it's probably the easiest position to evaluate so the risk is relatively low.
December 22nd, 2019 at 7:49 PM ^
The Irish guy...Geoffrey O'Kudah.
December 22nd, 2019 at 8:16 PM ^
Bob Quinn will take a lineman.. Guaranteed.
December 22nd, 2019 at 9:57 PM ^
No chance SP goes until at least the 6-7th round. My guess is he’ll be an undrafted FA, and will hang around a training camp for a few weeks.
December 22nd, 2019 at 10:05 PM ^
FUCK THE NFL DRAFT
Lions haven't drafted well in 20 years.
This is definitely not an OT and...
Would've been a better after Bowl/NFL season post.
December 23rd, 2019 at 10:28 AM ^
Good news for you... there will be at least 4 more of these posts before the draft actually happens, so you can take your pick from those.
December 22nd, 2019 at 10:12 PM ^
I think Nico is gone. Right now I say somewhere in the second round, but if he has a big game against Alabama he could sneak into the tail end of the first. Maybe. There’s a ton of great wideouts coming out this year so that’s going against him. He’s got the prototypical NFL size, and while he doesn’t have gamebreaking speed, he’s fast enough.
DPJ I’d say is a coin flip. He doesn’t have the production but he’s also a guy who could bet on himself, show up at the Combine, knock his tests out of the park a la David Long, and get drafted on Day 2. He’s got all the physical attributes an NFL receiver needs. And the gamebreaking speed that Nico doesn’t have.
Shea is probably a Day 3 guy, but who knows, with a big game against Alabama maybe he goes on Day 2. His height (or lack thereof) will hurt him.
Bredeson goes in the 2nd.
Uche I'm guessing is a late Day 2 / early Day 3 guy.
December 22nd, 2019 at 10:45 PM ^
Honest question, if you werent a UM fan and watched all of Nico's games, would you think he was an NFL 2nd round pick right now?
December 22nd, 2019 at 11:20 PM ^
I've always seen Nico garner praise from other schools fanbases so yeah possibly. He sticks out with his size and tough catches he makes
December 23rd, 2019 at 12:44 AM ^
Honest answer. No way. It is amazing what some people see. I understand that we want the best for Michigan and the players but the over evaluation of some players make some look and sound foolish and obtuse.
December 23rd, 2019 at 3:04 AM ^
Sigh. Collins was unstoppable this year, but the bitching never stops. This is from the PFF article posted above this.
23. Shea Patterson, Michigan Wolverines
Year: Senior
Patterson continually teases top-end talent, but even with a loaded receiving corps this season, he never quite has made the leap. He has been accurate on only 44.9% of his throws past the line of scrimmage, 104th in the country.
"A loaded receiving corps." Who do you think they're referring to? Collins is certainly one. And, for the last time, HE WAS HINDERED BY AN INCONSISTENT AND INACCURATE QB BUT STILL BALLED OUT!
December 23rd, 2019 at 11:32 AM ^
Yes. Looks and plays like a stronger Alshon Jeffery. Tall, really good hands, average speed. Idk what round Jeffery was drafted, and I'm not going to look it up, but he seems to have done pretty well in the NFL.
December 22nd, 2019 at 11:30 PM ^
I think Nico and DPJ are taking a bigger risk by coming back. Unless we have improvement at the QB position, which I doubt, their stats could be worse next year. At least this year you can excuse the lack of production for being a little young and raw with tons of upside.
If they come back they will be four year guys who didn’t get the on field results. I’m not sure if the line will be better, worse, or about the same, but I’m a little concerned about the QB position right now. I guess we’ll see who in the spring or summer, who emerges there.
December 23rd, 2019 at 12:39 AM ^
I agree that Nico is taking a risk, but his is injury risk. He's probably a second round receiver as a big, tall jump ball maestro but his lack of top end speed probably keeps him out of the first round regardless.
NFL teams know what he is at this point. If the QB position limits his productivity next year, they won't hold it against him. I personally think he'll be more productive because I think the offensive coaching staff figured some things out half way through this year. In his first five games this year he didn't have more than three catches and only had 13 total catches. In his last six games he had 20 catches, despite only having one against ND because M didn't throw the ball and he had two games of six catches so even if the QB isn't as good, he's going to have more 33 catches if he comes back.
DPJ on the other hand, can improve his stock a lot, IMO. He was plagued by drops this year (several against PSU, big one in the endzone against OSU, etc.). His combo of size and speed are first round worthy but I don't he's demonstrated good hands and he can improve that next year (unless he just has the drops which would limit his ceiling). I think he too will get more targets next year.
December 23rd, 2019 at 7:48 AM ^
And then he pulls off catches like this. Crazy.
December 22nd, 2019 at 11:31 PM ^
I hoping for a great Citrus bowl and nice draft for Shea.

December 22nd, 2019 at 11:55 PM ^
Giant fan here. I'm hoping we stick at number 2 for Chase Young, but I'm guessing that doesn't happen and we draft a perfectly mediocre but righteously clean living guard from Northwestern.
