Harbaugh's honor Saranac, MI teen that died at FB practice
Jack Harbaugh delivered a Michigan jersey with the young boys name on it and some kind words during a ceremony for the boy that died at football practice. He also declined interviews instead of grandstanding for the media. I'm proud of the Harbaugh's and their surrounding staff.
Very classy

The boy was also a life long Michigan fan

Damn tragic. I couldn’t imagine what it’d be like for a parent to go through that.

Great story. The Harbaughs really do possess a great deal of honor.

Wtf man this us a terrible story. Good on the Harbaughs but the story sucks

I think you misread the title. The author is suggesting Harbaugh is honor.

That is wonderful and so thoughtful. I'm sure it meant a great deal to the parents.

Nicely done, Coach.
Personalized, understated, and not publicized. I feel for the family - so much love and effort into providing a great home and support system, and now there's nothing left but a vacuum.

What a tragic thing to happen. But what an amazing family...
Skylar Lasby didn’t have an easy upbringing. Born to a family in the Montcalm County area, he went into foster care and had at least one unsuccessful placement before he and his brothers, Christopher and Brayden, were adopted by the Lasbys in 2011.
Scott Lasby said his son was a tough kid who went through a lot of trauma prior to being adopted. At a young age, the family was told their son could have problems later in life.
Through a variety of factors, including therapy, the love of his family and football, Scott Lasby said his son made “huge strides” and was “on the right path.”
“Most people don’t know what trauma does to kids,” he said. “To take care of his brothers the way he did at 5 years old, it was unreal. He taught us a lot.”
Skylar Lasby spent the last eight years surrounded by plenty of family. Scott and Rhonda Lasby have three biological children and have adopted five more children. The family is in the process of adopting another, and that doesn’t even include the 12 foreign exchange students they’ve hosted.

Wow, what wonderful people.

Absolutely. Its looks like the world has a few good people left. It sucks that in this day and age in media / social media coverage you have to dig to find the good examples of human behavior and kindness.

Urban Meyer has a book on values and life lessons or something. I’m sure it’s meaningful and genuine...he won a lot of football games after all.
Maybe we can draw inspiration by reading that. I think Jim Tressel had such a book as well. Plenty of sources of inspiration out there.

Such a sad story, and such classy actions from the Harbaugh family.
Also, as an Ionia resident, it's crazy to see Saranac in the news. I just stopped at their Speedway an hour ago.

Tragic to say the least... ironic, sounds like the kid had a big heart.

Story is national. On my MSN homepage.
