May have changed numbers
November 6th, 2018 at 4:15 PM ^
Nope. He's definitely not listed.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
He may have changed names
November 6th, 2018 at 4:46 PM ^
Oh yea, there he is...Turt Kaylor.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:16 PM ^
Milton changed from 5 to 3 but stayed on the roster.
Methinks something is up.
Good sleuthing by the OP.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:20 PM ^
So many #3s...
November 6th, 2018 at 5:24 PM ^
Beilein impacting the football team now.
November 6th, 2018 at 8:45 PM ^
Well, we are basketball school...
November 6th, 2018 at 6:45 PM ^
I wonder if its so both he & Wangler can be on the field at the same time.
November 7th, 2018 at 7:17 AM ^
Too bad, I always liked his heart from what I've read/seen. Wish all the best and hope he finds a great situation for him.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:13 PM ^
was Only a matter of time. Sucks cus he seems awesome, just not talented (relative to other RB on team).
November 6th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
FWIW, I was up for the Maryland game and saw Kurt and two other student-athletes dressed in team-issued sweats, walking through the tailgating crowd about an hour before kickoff. I found it odd that he was not "inside" the stadium or at Glick, but that may not say something about something.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:26 PM ^
I saw a player in 2016 in that same situation.....his name was Kareem walker.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:18 PM ^
FWIW, I saw Kurt Taylor playing Counterstrike about an hour before the Penn State kickoff. And yes, I found it a little odd, even though it was after I had been tailgating and drinking for about 6 hours before noticing Taylor. Not that this would or would not have affected my ability to recognize Kurt Taylor, but that may or may not say something about something.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:19 PM ^
Weird. He's still active on Twitter RT'ing anything and everything Michigan, and his bio acknowledges that. Not that this is real validation.
November 6th, 2018 at 6:01 PM ^
Love that kid. If we win a championship, I hope he gets a ring.
November 6th, 2018 at 6:17 PM ^
What do you love about him?
November 6th, 2018 at 6:27 PM ^
Georgia boy like me who played hs ball close by. He showed a ton of enthusiasm for Michigan when committing and since then.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:20 PM ^
Speaking of other RBs, I hope both Christian Turner and Hassan Haskins get some meaningful carries on Saturday
November 6th, 2018 at 4:24 PM ^
Define "meaningful" lol.
"Less than a 5 score difference"?
November 6th, 2018 at 4:29 PM ^
I feel like Turner could be our workhorse next year. Guessing him and O'Maury get lots of reps Saturday.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:22 PM ^
Don't count out Charbonnet as a workhorse. Should have a lot of depth and options and hopefully one of them emerges.
November 6th, 2018 at 6:22 PM ^
When a walk on becomes the #1 option after Higdon and Evans, that doesn't speak well of how Samuel or Taylor (or anyone else) have separated themselves. We NEED an impact back to replace Higdon.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:47 PM ^
The B1G increased travel squads from 70 to 74 this year. Will they both be on the trip?
November 6th, 2018 at 4:31 PM ^
Once the game gets to blowout stage and Higdon breaks off a buck in four carries, we'll see a dash of Evans and a lot of Tru.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:36 PM ^
I wonder if we did a poll on if we could take Higdon or Mike Weber all over again, and what the results would be... I'd guess 99.5% Higdon, with the 0.5% of voters being buckeye slappies who lack integrity, here, like BrianBarringer. This clown enters my survivor pool, loses first few weeks, then claims his teenage son logged in with his email, and never paid... typical low character buckeye...
November 6th, 2018 at 5:19 PM ^
Who is Weber? Not anyone with Detroit fame.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:23 PM ^
Tangential hate is the best kind of hate.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:25 PM ^
I'm not sure we will see a lot of Tru. His spot is solidified, I feel like, as a #3 guy that can do some work on third down, especially as a blocker. I don't think he has the upside of the young guys like Turner so it seems like they'd want to get him and the younger guys (Samuels too) some work because someone is going to need to replace Higdon next year and it's probably not going to be Tru.
November 6th, 2018 at 6:42 PM ^
I think we see a lot of Tru because badass walk-ons get their just reward come Rutger time.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:46 PM ^
Might be wrong, but I thought I heard Christian Turner was injured.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:55 PM ^
Again? He started the season injured but has played in two games so far I believe.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:30 PM ^
What I find amazing is how people notice this stuff.
November 6th, 2018 at 6:23 PM ^
What I find amazing is that there is an updated roster.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
I actually looked a couple weeks ago and remember seeing him listed on the roster. Odd that he is no longer there yet there has been no official comment. He always seemed like a longshot to contribute, but it is always disappointed to lose scholarship depth (if that is in fact the case).
November 6th, 2018 at 4:41 PM ^
I would expect more attrition to the roster. Our incoming recruiting class looks to be quite a bit bigger than the amount of scholarships we have available.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
Officially we have 11 seniors graduating and currently 8 walk ons on scholarship (using mgoblog's depth chart as source). That would be 19 spots for the class. With early enrollees, 5th years not given, and attrition, I can see about 6-8 additional spots pushing this to the 25-27 range. That would give us about 3 more spots left. We have a lot of players that have Michigan as leaders/top 2 - Harrison, Crouch, Keegan, Ike, Perry, DeLoach, Peseck-Hickson. It'll be an interesting finish to the class for sure.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:22 PM ^
Not sure why they are waiting. Who do you bleed? Not that hard to decide if you are your own man.
November 6th, 2018 at 6:26 PM ^
It's not necessarily the player waiting to commit. College coaches may already know, and it's the high school coaches that ask the player to hold off so others on their team can get college looks too. Or they like attention. Or they are involved with their high school and are seriously weighing many options. Or they just want to make you mad.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
Be careful not to speculate, make a joke, or otherwise upset the delicate masses at play here.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:55 PM ^
Even if Taylor didn't play meaningful snaps at Michigan, he was still a quality representative of the university.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:18 PM ^
Tact; you either have it, or you don't.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:54 PM ^
Pretty sure everyone on a public site speculating on an athlete, when not one person here knows a damn thing, isn’t much different than making a harmless joke.
But you guys keep riding that high horse.
November 6th, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
He looks like he’s gone. He was someone I would randomly check every few weeks to see if he was still on the roster. The odds of him ever playing always seemed very low.
November 6th, 2018 at 6:25 PM ^
Christian...you may not have had a career at UM, but you still have the worlds biggest biceps for a RB I have ever seen. LOL
November 6th, 2018 at 6:56 PM ^
He was talking about his religion.
November 6th, 2018 at 5:01 PM ^
Not really surprising. He’s behind a lot of guys now. Including Turner, who is a year younger.
