Recruiting Impact: Who did you see?
At the end of the game, as the TV cameras were following Winovich off the field, he had a few words with some recruits attending the game, just before heading up the tunnel. It got me to thinking, this is exactly the kind of environment you want to have recruits take part in. A cool, crisp Fall night, no rain, lots of electricity, a big win over a ranked opponent. There are several things I'd love to know.
- Who were the recruits Winovich was talking to?
- For any of you at the game, which recruits did you see?
- Are there any potential commitments coming from visitors to the game?
- Do any of you know how the key visits went? I'm obviously especially interested in Zach Harrison, Bryce Benhart, and Trevor Keegan, but also in Jalen Perry. And there may have been some huge visits of which I am unaware.

Chase was talking to jaheim thomas, 2020 LB. I couldnt recognize the prospect next to jaheim though.

Thanks! Just looked up Jameim. . . from Cincinnati, 4 star kid. Not bad. See 100% crystal balls to OSU, and no offer from the Buckeyes yet. Michigan's LB crew is a lot better than OSU right now. Would love for him to come here and spurn OSU.

It was Darrion Henry, 6’6” SDE from Cincinnati that was next to Thomas speaking to Chase.

Ok, that makes a ton of sense with Winovich. They both play DE, albeit different positions. Henry is ranked much more highly, a 4 star SDE around top 50 nationally. Also crystal balled 100% to OSU. Would love to pull the number 2 kid in Ohio to Michigan away from the Buckeyes.

Yup, Da'Shawn Hand says him and Brown are silently commited.

word is Gray was a no show
October 14th, 2018 at 12:15 AM ^
Not sure if Gray made it or not but he definitely sounds like a guy who is waiting for other offers.

Gray was a no show, and all the smoke about him wavering might be true.

To be fair, he's good enough to be a feature back in a spread offense rather than getting the "different look" O at UofM, while that fine California vintage Charbonnet gets 20+ carries a game.
Who knows though, maybe we can show him the place he fits in the O down the stretch or, maybe he can't find a group of players he'd rather play with.

I silently committed to a 4th beer last night.

I wish I had your dedication to restraint.

Those who were near you and breathing said silent, but deadly.

Smart move to preserve your redshirt by not drinking that 5th beer.

Didn't see any recruits but I did see 2 orange bowl reps in their ugly orange jackets.

Not just recruits in attendance last night, but overall has to be great going forward. Hey OT recruit.... the line gets better each week and you will have an extremely competent coach to get you to the pros! Bredeson, Ruiz and Onwenu, with another year under coach Ed will all be high picks. Maaaaan, this feels good right now. Keep it rolling boys, keep it rolling!

I am wondering if there is any chance of flipping Luke Mccaffrey from Nebraska at this point?
Nebraska is descending into a tire fire. But gosh, then again, they do hit harder than their conquerors.

I never got the sense that he was a priority for this staff. Spots are filling up.
