Edit: mods please delete.
But in my defense the board is out of order! Since when do snowflake threads get stickied and hide the rest of the posts!
September 9th, 2018 at 9:20 AM ^
That you thought this board could go 6 hours without enjoying the taste of sparty tears is precious.

Sometimes, 2 threads are better than 1
September 9th, 2018 at 11:25 AM ^
2 chicks at the same time, amirite???
September 9th, 2018 at 11:55 AM ^
Alan Thicke and I agree.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:42 AM ^
Eh, we can leave this one.
As for the sticky version of the snowflake threads, it's an effort to collect the majority of what would otherwise be wasted threads. I mean, modding is about working smart, not hard, right?
Funnily enough, the sticky expired at 9:30 AM EDT, so had you posted this 17 minutes later, it would have floated to the top.
September 9th, 2018 at 11:15 AM ^
Likely a more vital thing to do after a loss than a win, tho
September 9th, 2018 at 9:17 AM ^
As one of the dolts that stayed up and watched it until 2:30 in the morning, I can attest to the sparkling good times!! Poor Mick was beside himself...
But that Sparty NOOOO!!!! pass defense is atrocious! Watching it, I couldn't wait for Shea to get some looks - OT's be damned.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:30 AM ^
I didn't stay up to watch. How good is N'Keal Harry? Was it a case of him just tearing up the D, or is the D just that bad? Some of both, I'm sure.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:35 AM ^
N'Keal Harry is the real deal. Physically just like Julio Jones with a little less speed.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:35 AM ^
He had a great manball touchdown in the fourth when MSU left him 1 on 1 and it looked like a safety blew coverage and forgot to shade over the top. Otherwise about 5 catches and was more of a decoy.
September 9th, 2018 at 12:47 PM ^
Also drew a crucial PI flag on their final drive to keep it alive. Do doubt he played a major role in the game but one receiver does not make a whole offense. The ASU QB actually looked pretty bad. Missed some wide open receivers and handed MSU an INT by way overthrowing his guy.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:36 AM ^
He is very good, but every receiver tore that secondary to shreds. Their QB threw for 380 FFS.
September 9th, 2018 at 11:42 AM ^
Right!??! He threw for 380, but if he was any good he'd have thrown for 580! He missed open receivers all over the field - the only deep ball he hit was that Neal TD that tied it up. Every other deep ball looked more like a JOK throw than something from a competent QB. (Cheap, gratuitous shot on JOK, I know, but it really did look like JOK on those bombs.)
September 9th, 2018 at 1:13 PM ^
Didn't stop him from chewing out his WRs if they ran a bad route. I was waiting for a WR to go off on him.
September 9th, 2018 at 11:10 AM ^
That'll never happen. Harbaugh will stubbornly bang his head against the wall and refuse to take advantage. He has to play like Bo, after all.
September 9th, 2018 at 12:16 PM ^
Sparty did not play well, but these are the kind of games they normally pull out. Not surprisingly I think the desert heat got to them. I am watching it again on DVR, since I fell asleep last night.
Announcer just was praising MSU DB's performance with about 9:00 left, then ASU proceeded to go 65 yds in 2 pass plays capped by Harry's 27 yd TD where he just owned the DB.
MSU's next drive, Lewerke got tackled for loss, fumbled, they recovered, but punted and then their punter got hurt (looked like his kicking knee was seriously hurt). Then they gave up the winning FG after a mediocre but clutch ASU drive which they could not stop.
They kept saying that ASU was 9-0 against the B1G at home. Now 10-0. The Lewerke Sep Heisman hype would've been intolerable if "hometown boy breaks the 9-0 streak", blah, blah. Now it's a loss instead.
September 9th, 2018 at 4:12 PM ^
“These are the kind of games they normally pul out.” Precisely, great point. That’s what makes the sting a bit more harsh for Dantaniao. Out of gas, running on fumes they somehow usually get er to fire up for a last drive or last stop. Nope!!
September 9th, 2018 at 2:38 PM ^
And then their secondary will proceed to have the best games of their lives when they play us. Fuckin Sparta.
Edit: SPARTY, not Sparta. Sorry, my fellow Greeks!
September 9th, 2018 at 9:21 AM ^
Hopefully the Sparty trolls will STFU for a week or two now
September 9th, 2018 at 9:47 AM ^
Don’t bet your life on it.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:09 AM ^
Come on, man. M's loss at ND was clearly an indicator that the team, Harbaugh, and all things Michigan are a failure. MSU's loss in the desert was a function of universal conspiracy against MSU and clearly indicates how much better Sparty is than M.
September 9th, 2018 at 11:33 AM ^
Clearly
September 9th, 2018 at 9:21 AM ^
There's more than enough time for him to prove me wrong, but as someone who lives close to ASU, this felt like a well-coached ASU team. And I've been an outspoken Herm-hater
September 9th, 2018 at 11:02 AM ^
He's proving himself to be legit. Beat Stanford and/or USC and you can declare it a good team for sure
September 10th, 2018 at 3:07 AM ^
USC looks very beatable.
September 9th, 2018 at 2:23 PM ^
Don’t underestimate the Wile E. Coyote Year Effect. Plus, didn’t he keep most of Todd Graham’s staff? I think we’re seeing Todd Graham’s team come together, and with a pretty weak looking PAC12 South, this could turn out to be like Hoke’s 2011 fools’ gold year.
September 9th, 2018 at 3:28 PM ^
Yes and their front 7 is playing better, they shut down MSU’s rushing game. I believe Graham’s teams couldn’t field any D.
September 9th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
Sparty's rushing game is easy to shut down. Their OL is terrible at run blocking, just like last year. Their best tackle Chewins played for a few snaps, but that was it. He's good, but when he's out, they have to move the RT to LT, and bring in Reid who's undersized and C- level. Plus they can't decide between two bad options at center.
September 9th, 2018 at 9:24 AM ^
Dantonio is 12-13 in his last 25 games.
September 9th, 2018 at 9:34 AM ^
A beautiful sentiment. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside
September 9th, 2018 at 9:36 AM ^
And it's been more than a year since they completed a TD pass to an eligible tackle. (I think)
September 9th, 2018 at 9:46 AM ^
Dantonio is 14-14 in his last 28 games...and 8-10 in his last 18 conference games.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:34 AM ^
But he's 1-0 against his BIGGEST RIVAL since the start of last year. 1-0!!!!!
Harbaugh is 0-1 against that rival since the start of last year!!!!!
September 9th, 2018 at 9:33 AM ^
I didn’t watch the game but I did turn on the highlights this morning. The Arizona State jerseys looked pretty nice. Clean with that gold emblem on the helmet. Looked like that would have been a fun game for their fans too.
September 9th, 2018 at 9:41 AM ^
While it is nice to have staee fan keep their trap shut for a week, and I may be the only one, but I might prefer them to be undefeated and staee fans pulling the "lil sister" shit AND then we beat the living shit out of them in east landfill!!!
That will be might good schadenfreude!!!
September 9th, 2018 at 1:42 PM ^
Nah, I'm all for msu completely imploding by the time we play and beat them.
September 9th, 2018 at 9:44 AM ^
I went to bed when ASU kicked the FG to cut it to 13-6, What happened after that?
September 9th, 2018 at 10:01 AM ^
They played to win the game.
September 9th, 2018 at 10:07 AM ^
You win the day sir.

Wow, some big plays from ASU - two big passes and back to back sacks.
How did ASU get into FG range on that last drive? More big plays or just methodically moving the chains?
September 9th, 2018 at 11:47 AM ^
There was no methodical movement of chains from ASU's offense. They moved the ball easily with 10-20 yd passes, but nothing else. Whenever they ran, they got stuffed and ended up in 3rd and long - to which MSU sent the house and got the stop. When they finally just fell on the sword and passed relentlessly, they took control and won.
September 9th, 2018 at 12:06 PM ^
I think this post is pure brilliance...
Seriously, if the passing game is where its at, gather up the full backs, most of the running backs, half the tight ends and give them a deck of cards on the sideline to keep them busy. Say “fuck manball”, (apologize to Bo’s spirit after the game) and throw it til Shea’s arm almost falls off.
Coaching Staff, please take note.
