Former Michigan LB Jake Ryan of GB Packers season-ending injury?
Some sad news potentially regarding former Michigan LB Jake Ryan of the Green Bay Packers. Seems he may have injured his right knee this week during 11-on-11 drills. Ryan was set to start at ILB for the Packers

"He was just devastated," Martinez said after practice. "Obviously, he was super-excited about the season. He's been putting a tremendous amount of work in. He's been awesome throughout OTAs and these past four practices. It's been good for him. It's just really tough.
"I talked to him right after I got off the field. Basically, told him if he needs anything, I'm here for him. I obviously don't know the extent of it. Obviously, everybody will know when they know. I'm just praying for him and hoping the best for him. I know he'll come back even stronger."
Wishing Mr. Ryan a fast and decisive recovery from this injury.
Good luck to him on the rehab. Injuries and poor health suck.
Sorry to do this OP but.....
Have redundant posts gotten worse on the new platform?
Feels bad man. Jake is one of my favorite players. I hope he has a quick and full recovery.
Good rule of thumb. If your post contains the words "this week" and it concerns a Michigan player it's already been posted
Oh boy...

I know I can be a bit of a curmudgeon, but god damn, man. Do you ever post anything remotely positive? Why not just stop posting?

What was negative about my post?
Jake Ryan was a 2* recruit, there's no way he could possibly start for an NFL team.....
There’s been no official word from the Packers on his diagnosis, and it’s been a bit since this happened. I’m still holding out some hope that this one will be a “Much less severe than it seemed” type of deal. I may have missed something though.
Latest I saw from yesterday was that he is still undergoing testing - but they won't have a full picture until swelling subsides.
One of my favorite players from the Hoke years. Hope you heal up quickly, Jake.
Season ending injuries on the same knee twice in the same week? What are the chances?!
Now excuse me while I go post this weird thing I just read about Harbaugh and eating chicken.

Schefter and Rappaport are both reporting it is indeed a torn ACL.
Damn.

Jake was so good once he earned the starting spot. He will be back and better next year.
