There are a lot more important games coming up this season. I would not gamble on the ankle for tonight's game. Give it plenty of time to heal and go into the Big 10 season with it healthy. The worst is to keep hurting it and then it really doesn't heal for the rest of the season.
Basketball allows us to " learn from our mistakes" and put more younger guys into the line-up before Big Ten begins.

I question the point of writing "Dr. Steve" at the end of your post when it is not only displayed in the upper left of your post, but also in your signature.
That is all.

Or maybe it's not the kind of injury that you can really do additional damage to by playing on it a little bit early. If you were a doctor you'd probably know that, Dr. Steve.

Am I doing it right?

Awesome. He'll have plenty of time to get it fully healthy in the coming weeks, what with only 1 game a week. I mean, if it gets bad tonight, don't risk anything. But if he's good to go, he's good to go.

I'm sure he would've played vs. Coppin St...but it was Coppin St.
It's an ankle sprain. He's not going to die if he plays on it.
We're going to need him because I'm not counting on a freshman to go into Cameron and rain 3's like he did vs. a shitty MEAC team at home.

From radio guy Matt Shepard: #UM starts Walton, Levert, Stauskas, Robinson and McGary.

IMO this game will be too big for Walton.
I still think Spike is the better option.
I was at the Coppin St. game, we just play better with Spike at PG. Hell, Walton even plays better with Spike at PG.
Walton is the future and has the potential. But I'd start Spike in both halfs despite giving Walton the majority of the minutes.

Defense is the reason he doesn't start. Paying attention to him on the defensive end is an experience somewhat similar to smashing your balls with a hammer: you just want it to end.
He tries and all, but the way he gets breezed by in isolation and pick situations collapses the whole defense repeatedly as they try to overhelp.

From some reporter, I forgot which, said that he looked good in shootaround, not favoring the ankle at all. If that's the case, free Canada, let's do this shit.
