The outlook for the hockey team is certainly looking up. A huge win over BC and a 'gritty' win on the road over RIT.

Yeesh sounded like I would be screaming at the TV for this game like I was the football game.
Did anyone get to watch it? It was on Time Warner Sports NY.
The pictures I saw from the game show Michigan wearing last year's throwback road jerseys. At least they got rid of those awful Maize ones from last year.

I was at the game.
It was a good crowd- HC/Alumni family weekend for RIT. They have a good team come in on a Sat to BC Arena - next year they have BC coming in. HC for a school like RIT makes for a very friendly crowd- they were excited to cheer for the Tigers nad it was a packed house- maybe 9k.
M came out in the road blues with Michigan across the front. The best looking unis on earth, IMO. We scored on most of our chances in the 1st and controlled the possession, tho SOG were about even. Still, with a young team I got the feeling everything came so easy for them in the 1st that they figured the game was over. Too bad it looked like I was right. Lots of bad penalties, lots of bad play in their own zone.
Racine looked solid- no soft ones that I could see (tho 9/12 goals were scored at the other end of the ice from me). Calm, in good position, no bad decisions playing the puck.
The team is very dichotomous. They clearly make good plays in the offensive zone and control the puck well. Execute the PP well from what I could see. Decent PK. Solid GT. Their glaring weakness (and this is what we would expect I guess, given their youth and depth on D) is puck control in the defensive zone. The aren't strong with the puck in their own zone at all- indecisive, hesitant, and don't make strong plays with the puck b/c of those things. that adds put to frustrating TOs in their own zone. and that's from everyone- not just the Dmen. looks like we'll have a lot of 6-4 type games this year.
