OT: Post-SharkNado reaction thread/2 Head Shark Open Thread
Wait, this aired tonight??? I watched a trailer for this earlier today... So upset that I missed it.
God bless friends.
I don't want to spoil things for you but...
Dual-wielding chainsaw slicing flying sharks in half.
My favorite part is that when you shoot a shark out of the tornado with a pistol, it dies and falls out.
Is SyFy going to re-air Sharknado in the future? I have to see this piece of crap.
I like going to kickass torrents for all things TV. Here's the most popular torrent for Sharknado:

Slow clap. As a resident MGoMeteorologist, I will confirm that every bit of this movie is 100% scientifically accurate.
The DVR was busy recording that tonight, if it's as good as Sharktopus then color me excited.
I'm searching for a word to describe this scene, but words cannot describe it. Touching, beautiful, profound; these words all fail in description.
Beverly Hills emergency management services are second to none!
Did not realize you could jump into a shark's mouth with a chainsaw and come out alive. Will save that tidbit of knowledge for the next time I encounter a shark.
spoiler alert, but he doesn't just save himself
Yes that was hilarious. Of all the flying sharks the exact one that gulped helicopter girl (without a tooth mark on her) was the same one Ian found at the end of the movie. Ian also escaped withouth a tooth mark on him. Remarkable! :)
While I think actors are overpaid in a general sense movies like this (and the one right after which I started watching by default) make me appreciate how good the real actors are. And also figure after the top 100 actors in Hollywood is there that much of a drop off to the next level (i.e. people in these movies?) It would be like going from a NFL player to a HS JV - I mean where are the people in between (the junior college or community college equivalents of actors). I literally laughed at some of the death scenes in Sharknado due to the reactions - i.e. after helicopter girl was swallowed the reaction of the helicopter guy "nooOoOoOoo" was so hilariously over the top bad I was almost crying with laughter.
I'd say there are more than 100 good actors in Hollywood. Unless you mean the actors that people know the names of. Then maybe. I'd say (just my opinion), that the actors in between the good actors (ie. character actors & bankable stars) and some of the shitty actors here would be some of the actors in the CSI or NCIS shows or most of the actors on the CW. They're not terrible to watch and work in those shows but not really the greatest actors ever. Also bankable stars aren't necessarily good actors. I have no clue why Kevin James or Adam Sandler movies do well. They just do.
But then again, some of the acting in movies like Sharknado sucks because the actors give no shits. John Heard is a pretty decent actor. He clearly gave no shits in Sharknado.
and Adam Sandler movies do well because there is no risk involved. With the exception of Funny People, you do not gain or lose anything by watching any of their movies, there is no emotional investment of any kind. They are mildly amusing and completely inoffensive. Many times people go to the movie because they want a break from everything that means anything, and that is exactly what actors like James and Sandler give them.
As for Sharknado, I think actors often are contractually bound to do movies through the maize of studios and production companies that wind their way through Hollywood. Other times I think many do movies like this because they prefer them to doing bit roles in other marginally better movies. Other times I think they may do them because they find them to be utterly hilarious just like us. And then there is Ian Zerring, I am pretty sure he did Sharknado because be badly needed the money.
Two-Headed Shark update:
Two chicks went topless into the water and started making out and the two-headed shark came in and ate them.
For those who missed this glorious scene, a NSFW link to show you this cinematic masterpiece.

I'm waiting for Earthsnake.
I've recently been cast in a similar movie, "The Last of the Giant TrouserSnakes: The End of an Era" I thought I did quite well to be honest.
It's called Tremors...
I must disagree, The last 15-20 minutes of it made up for the rest of it.
Tara Reid has not aged gently.
She looks like the reanimated corpse of a stripper.
Coming up next on SyFy... Sharknado!
I thought I was the only person in Twitterverse who had no idea what SharkNado is.
Turns out, I'm the only person on MGoBlog, too. Smh.
I ran across an interview with the writer of "Sharknado" actually - (HERE) for the full piece.
The best part, I thought...
"How are the sharks cognizant enough to keep biting people while they're flying through the air?
If you were a shark and you found yourself flying through the air, wouldn’t you keep biting? I think you’d be pretty pissed about being plucked out of your nice familiar ocean where you’re king of the predators, and you’d probably take it out on whoever got in your way. Honestly, I don’t understand why people are so perplexed by this concept. The logic is undeniable."
Imagine Stupider.
E!
Checkmate.
And I just lost a 20 year bet that Ian Ziering's career would outlast Jason Priestley's.
Not that it isn't already "too bad", because that's what makes it hilarious, but when does it become them trying too hard to make it too bad. Honestly, if they try to top SharkNado, well, then, I hate to say it, but then they'll have officially jumped the shark.
