OT: Insane soccer story out of Brazil
Rural Brazil, God Damn. Ref ejects soccer player, player tackles ref, ref stabs and kills player, player's family dismembers, beheads, and puts ref's head on a spike. WTF.
*Pictures and videos available on Buzzfead and Liveleak. But yeah, didn't feel confortable posting here.
for that matter
I'm left shaking my head with this one. Kind of like when people die at Wal-Mart holiday sales.
This is why I watch football from home most of the time, SPARTAN BOB!
These were the weapons confiscated by the police before a Copa Italia match ealier this year.
Going to a European soccer match is a bucket list type of thing for me. I guess I better be wise about which league I want to watch.
Well, if it's any consolation, I'm going straight to hell with you.
Did he actually fear for his life refereeing this game? Time for a new occupation, oops he was killed time for a Funeral, er wait his head is on a pike and his arms and legs are sawed off....WTF?
I'm curious; are you a 6 year old or are you piss drunk at 4PM on a Wednesday?
Lemme know.
I'm curious as to why you think the two are mutually exclusive...
We probably hung out in kindergarten.
Genuine "well played" for that one.
Should be a colon. -1
Why are you talking about anatomy? I didn't come here to play school.
Some of these amateur soccer teams have some street gang affiliations and those games can get contentious when you are dealing with cross town rivals.
Not sure about this incident because the article said it happened in a town not known for crime.
I just want to hear the excuse of the guy who brought the sickle and the pike to a friendly neighborhood futbol match.
"Honestly, officer... no premeditation here..."
All of this over a game where you are not even allowed to use your hands.
Anddd this is where next years World Cup is being held? wow
I doubt that FIFA or Olypic refs carry knives...That said, I don't mean to start another one of our hotly contested knife-control debates.
It's always interesting how people say that horrible things don't happen in their town and that the perps were from a different town. Reminds me of every Dateline murder episode with all the elderly shocked that "something like this could happen in our town." Well apparently it does and it did.....
It isn't too much of a shock that there was violence at a soccer match, but this level of violence is pretty crazy. Most times it is beatings and some people may die in the riots, but this is just ridiculous. Roping a guys arms and legs, cutting off his arms, legs and head and then sticking his head on a spike at the center of the pitch? That's insane. Not to mention that it all started because a player pushed the ref down, who then got up and stabbed the player.
This is the craziest soccer related story about violence I have seen, and there have been plenty to choose from.
Not Game of Thrones.
Souza’s brother Francisco then used a sickle to cutting off Silva’s arms, legs and head, which he placed on a spike in the middle of the field, Costa said. He added that Francisco may have been on drugs at the time.
Let's just hope.
The drugs part doesn't concern me as much as the fact the he was carrying around a sickle at a soccer game. Unless he was the team's mascot and their nickname was the "Grim Reapers" or the "Old School Farmers," I think the whole bringing sharp farm implements to an event where passions run high is probably where things took a turn south here.
You never know when you might need it.
As this was from a team south of us I find it best to not judge an entire state by fan behavior.
in the opening post.
But once I read the part about dismemberment, I just had to post this:
Arrrrrrrr....
Wait, it sounds like a lot of them were stabby. He probably recruited all of them.
of the world's soccer fans are semi-civilized sociopaths who are just itching for the slightest reason to engage in bloody idiot savagery over which team is better at kicking a ball around. Religious wars make more sense to me.
of black people are semi-civilized sociopaths who are just itching for the slightest reason to engage in bloody idiot savagery.
Boy, does that make me sound like a racist asshole, doesn't it?
You completely missed the context of my message. I do not feel that way at all.
It seems to me that was more rhetoric than how he really feels. I think he was simply saying that sweeping generalizations about a group of people is wrong. Or he's really racist.
