Do you really love the lamp or are you just saying that because you saw it?

You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder
Grats on 1 year.
Go Blue.
Thanks, man. Go Blue!
How come there's no cake day?
It kind of sucks that Reddit gets the monopoly on Internet cake. We should do something about that.
Fantastic!
The great taste in clothing.
this thread may be 16 months too early
He seems to be really high on Michigan right now. That plus the fact that he has a close friends attending here in Mason Cole (and possibly a second in Artavis Scott) could be huge for us. Out of the few 2015 recruits I've heard of so far, he's by far the one I want the most.
Damien Harris
Pretty sure you mean Drake Harris...
My bad.
Although I really want Harris too, he is definitely second to Campbell. A running back is always important, but WR is a much greater need for our team. We currently lack a star wide receiver—barring an unforseen break out from one of the current guys we have, like Chesson. We haven't had a star at that position since Manningham left, and Campbell looks like he has what it takes to be the real deal.
i see your point but if we get Drake Harris this year then Damein is #1 on my list for next year. you say we havent had that game breaker at wr,which i agree, we havent had a running back like Damein in years either. Him and Green would be a deadly combo. but i'll be happy as long as we get one of either.
maybe even higher. I don't many people would be surprised if he was the #1 WR in 2014
Just to clarify, he's a class of 2015 recruit. Your wording is a little confusing for those who don't know.
Aww crap, normally Im good with numbers
Pretty much everywhere I've read says he's going to be a 5-star player. The recruiting services have him at 6'3", with a 4.4 40 and a 38 inch vertical (although you should probably take those FWIW, as they're likely somewhat exaggerated).
those are the scaled down versions. He was originally listed at 6'5, but he measure in at 6'3'' at the Army Combine as well as the 40 time and vert.
Yeah, he definitely looks closer to 6'3" than 6'5", but he's just a sophomore, so he might still have an inch or two to grow. If he could be 6'4" or 6'5" with 4.4 speed, he could be a very very good player. Those are some Megatron-esque numbers.
Actually i think the 4.4 is laser timed, at a combine event.
Dude is going to be an absolute stud
Yeah, his 40 is not fake. He's a DGB-type WR, who was the consensus #1 recruit in the country a couple years ago. I'm not saying he'll be that, but all indications point to him being a 5-star recruit.

wasn't Ricardo Miller supposed to have similar rankings after he blew up his junior year? I am NOT comparing the two, but similar to the Ferns rankings, the early rankings are usually higher due to the lack of exposure of other players. HOWEVER, with that said I believe Cambell is a blue chip player and would be an absolutely outrageous (in a great way) pickup. I guess im just curious as to if anyone remembers the hype that Ricardo had and if they have any early links to when he was at Dr. Phillips/ scouting reports.

Reading back on a few MgoArticles and google links, you are spot on. This isnt sassing you either but usually the top players in Fla tend to be some doggon (is that how Hoke spells it?) good players. Hope Cambell is feeling blue in the best way.
like sliced bread
He's a sophomore in high school with offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and others.
He's ok.
I'm not sure we will be able to pull him out of the south, but I'd LOVE to see him in the Maize and Blue.
The fact that he seems so gung-ho on Michigan lately is awesome.
Go Blue, George!
I'll defer to others from Ft. Myers, but having lived in Bradenton 3 years, I wouldn't exactly call Ft. Myers "the south." The "south" is often thought of as Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, maybe Tennessee, maybe Virginia. Florida has a very different feel to it. It is murder to pull someone out of the deep south, but not quite as difficult to pull someone out of Florida. The reasons are varied, but here are a few:
- Virtually everyone in Florida is from somewhere else, and doesn't have deep roots.
- In particular, many people in Florida are from the "north," unlike those from, say, Alabama.
- Even within Florida, there is a divide between those in the panhandle and those south of mid-state. If you draw a line from Tampa east across the state of Florida and go south of that, you will find that there is less of an identification with being from the south, and somewhat less of a tie to Florida or Florida State.
- Florida schools don't have the same sense of history that Alabama, Georgia, Old Miss, etc., have in their respective states.
- Florida has by far, the most recruits in the country. There isn't room for all of them at the three major Florida schools.
Someone (Seth? can't remember) did a study of where Michigan players came from. You will find that far more have come from Florida than have come from the true "south."
All good points, but looking at Rivals' 2013 rankings, only four of the top 20 players in Florida left the South, and only three did the year before. It's hard to pull them from the SEC and even ACC.
I agree with most of your post, but many of the big things the Southern states have that hurts us, Florida also has: Weather, distance, and in-state football powers. The culture may differ from the Alabama, Mississippi, etc. type states, but Florida kids still think it's cold in Michigan, their mamas still can't drive up to see them play on Saturdays and they still have big time programs much closer to home recruiting the hell out of them (not to mention lots of their friends and neighbors).
Those are the things that make recruiting the South so hard, and under those criteria, Florida fits just as well.

Florida also has: Weather
Another state that has weather: Michigan. I haven't had to deal with a Michigan winter for more than 20 years and everywhere I've lived since has been warmer, but I think I'd actually prefer to deal with a Michigan winter than a Florida summer. In addition to the oppressive heat and humidity, Florida also has hurricanes, killer sink holes, red tides, sharks, alligators, pythons and worse traffic.

It's nice to go to Florida for a week on vacation...but there's no way I'd be able to deal with the humidy every time I walk outside all summer.

Plus, consider this....
- Cowboys were invented in Florida
- Cowboys helped tame the West
- Michigan is the "Champions of the West"
- Q.E.D. - Florida recruits should love Michigan
Derp. Dreaded double post.
