OT: NBA - OKC at SA Game 1 Open Thread
First game of what should be a great series. A veteran SA team against a young, talented Thunder squad. IMO, Popovich will take Harden's beard to the hole over and over again and come out the other side with a slow, melodic victory.
who wins either way, but whoever does better take down LBJ and the Miami Heat... That is all I want for Christmas this year.
....if the Celtics don't take care of the Heat first.
I want Juwan Howard to get a ring.
I really hope either one of these teams wins the whole thing. Definitely the 2 most likable teams left
Fisher keeping OKC close so far
I am being turned into a closet Thunder fan myself. However I think Coach Pop and a home game 7 make the difference in this series for the Spurs. It Should be a very entertaining series regardless.
One thing in the Thunder's favor is that the Spurs haven't really had a challenge in the playoffs yet. Although it's a veteran team so it might not matter. And you could say the same about the Thunder as they handily took care of the Mavs and Lakers. But at least those were solid teams. Clippers and Jazz leave alot to be desired. Looking forward to this series as three of my least favorite players are facing off in the ECF (LBJ, D-Wade, and Pierce)
I'm surprised Tony is having such a difficult time on the offense end. RW is really giving him fits.
All I can say is I am quite privileged to have the Thunder in my backyard. Yes, there's not much here to follow professionally, but the Thunder craze is huge here. They've built a really solid organization and have some outstanding professionals as the face of their team. Really proud of what they've done so far.
This game is the exact opposite style of the debacle that was last night's game
Edit: WORST free throw ever.
Is anybody else watching this on TNT OT on the computer?
Great run by SA. Showing their age through execution.
Going to be really tough for the Thunder to pull off this series with the Spurs extensive playoff experience. I think it will be a good series though. Solid comeback win by the Spurs in the 4th. They completely shut the Thunder down.
Personally, I think it would have benefited the Thunder to keep Ibaka in the game in the 4th. The lack of his presence allowed the Spurs to continually score in the paint with ease.
The Thunder are battle tested now but the Spurs are REALLY battle tested. Sort of glad Russell Westbrook gave Tony Parker fits for a while only because Tony Parker was talking crap.
I might be looking more forward to this series than the NBA Finals especially if Miami wins.
Good for the Spurs. I thought they were too old to ball after they lost to teams like Memphis and Dallas in the past. I thought their time was done, but they've proven me wrong
Amazing winning streak they have going on
Same core guys that beat Detroit in 2005 too. Shifted from defense oriented, to offense under the new rules. I can't deny I am envious of their franchise and the people who put this team together.
