The "Wild Pat" & the "White Cat" - they're already giddy in Miami... What do we have?
The new formation featuring their new draft pick is already up for debate as to naming rights.
What do we have? I was going towards "Wild Force", but that just doesn't seem like a good name for an accurate QB. "D-Cat" is possible.
Perhaps looking at split time we could just have the "Black Cat" and the "White Cat". -just joking...
I wish Wolverine was a one-syllable word, or "wolve" worked as an abbreivation. "Wild Wolf" sounds a lot better than "Wild Wolve." "Wild Wolverine sounds OK to me, but most announcers are too lazy to use those two extra syllables.
Sticking with cats, "Panther" after the Michigan Panther might be somewhere to experiment and see what sticks. There just isn't much of a UM theme because "Wolverines" is so unique.
Going OT, this reminds me: the last professional football champion from the state of Michigan was the Michigan Panthers of the USFL.
I have a feeling that it will just end up being the "wildcat," with no customization needed.
Except, of course, for our "friends" in EL, who will call it the "Wild Weasel."
From your MSU comment I thought, "and what would Sparty be?..."; came up with the obvious "Wild Spartan", which lead me to a momentary delusional thought of "Hey, That's cool sounding", kinda like old-school wrestling's "Wild Somoan", which lead me to thinking of all manner of old-school wrestling names, like the "Figure Four leglock" which lead to...
wait for it...
"Figure Force"
Wow, another brain cell wasted...
Like one of these guys?

Actually seems kind of fitting to me.
Rampage in early 2000s, won the Arena Bowl. That's pro.
---former season ticket holder
maybe next year
In keeping with the black and white cat perhaps it would sound better if it were politically correct, how about the African American cat and the Caucasian cat........ Well, maybe, not, but how about the Blue Cat or the Big Blue Cat, or I think I like The Wolve-cat. Anyway I think it is worth sending this to RR and seeing what he thinks.
Wolve-Cat makes me think Bearcat, as in, "What the hell's a Bearcat?"
The Pit Bull Formation where our dawgs rip the throats right out of our opponents?
easy.
these are all pretty weak.
Weak perhaps, but let's hear your ideas, Mr. Critic. What ya got huh? Yeah what now, What now?
Tate could be Lion-O and Denard could be Panthro?
For every TD that is scored in this formation, Hungry Howie gives away free pizza after the game. How does that sound?
"Spread option?"
It's been a full 90 minutes since OP and no one thought to post the most obvious and horribly punny name?
Wild-verine.
DUH!!
the Wild Shoelace?
