FAU MBB to hire Baylor Assistant as Head Coach
John Jakus new FAU MBB coach, not a hire from within.
Wonder if Dusty May will now try to bring some of his former assistants with him?
He just may.
May-be?

I caught wind that the dust settles in Kansas.
Thats all we really are..
Just stay out of my way, or you'll pay. Listen to what I say!
Why don’t I just go eat some hay? I can make things out of clay and lay by the bay, I just may! Whattaya say?!

No more rhymes now, I mean it!
This should leave FAU’s roster much more open to getting their top three players to transfer to the good guys with their sensei.
I would love to see us add their top three and Malik Mack, freshman guard from Harvard would actually make us pretty good quickly.
While I love your ideas - I find it presumptuous that a Harvard kid could get by our admissions department
Unless they are all grad transfers (and maybe they are), why are we even remotely confident our admissions department would let them in without ruining their credit transfer situation?
Looks like they were all juniors last year (just going through the box scores and looking at top scorers), so presumably they should've been able to get undergraduate degrees already.
To clarify, admissions let's them in before the credit situation. Credits are handled by an advisor in the college and the college/department. Transfer admissions is an earlier team and step. You get admitted (or not) and then someone looks at what credits will be accepted.
Admissions are about "can this person succeed here and do they add value to the student body." The majority of scholarship athletes will pass that. Can pass college classes; leadership; diversity, including having lived elsewhere and had other university experiences to contribute to in class discussions.
Because they are all grad transfers?
I feel like this has been stated numerous times
We're in contact with a freshman wing and former top 100 recruit from Vanderbilt, Jason Rivera Torres
I believe there are 5 FAU guys who have been in school four years, yet everyone only talks about Davis, Martin, and Goldin.
Rosado, okay, not a huge contributor but May definitely used him and then Boyd has scored 9 ppg in 24 mpg the past two years. I’d take all of these guys.
Then you gotta think there's zero chance they retain any established players.

If the guy is a Jakus, they probably don't want to work for him.

Great news.
And a player or three.
Jakus? He hardly knows us!

OK, Yak, that made me laugh.
"Rectum? It nearly killed him!"

I would imagine anyone with tenure who got passed over, will be coming here...

Read on a bathroom wall that David DeJulius may be interested in a return to Ann Arbor.
