If I were a rb or a wr I would go to Miami; Qb I would go to Pitt or Tenn; anything on D I would go to Michigan. These teams are just a couple of players away from being great. I could be that guy.
They are not athletic enough of the defensive side of the ball. They give up too many points in the paint. I felt we were coming into the season a little overrated because I think just like in football the defense will be the weakness and paint will be the equivalent of the secondary. We could use another ball handler as well.
On a side note I love vongrich!
My worst UM-osu moment have been the last 5...Five in a row is just too much. My favorite moment came when I was in 5th grade in 1995 against the number 2 osu buckeyes with hiesman front runner eddie george, but a guy named Tshimanga Biakabutuka from UofM stole the show with a 313 yard effort! I miss the good ol days.
I see your pt b/c we were just a couple of plays short of 8-3, but we were also a couple of plays away from a 3-8 record as well. I would like to say it’s just our defense that is “bad,” but you are only as good as your weakest link so I have to say; yes we are as bad as our record indicates. I would love to shock the world sat though.
I would like to see miami play notre dame
EDIT: Woops read the title without reading the actual post. If UM makes it, it won’t matter to me who they play. I’ll just be happy they are there. I don't want to see a mac school though.
I think this quote is a fraud. Osu fans are just trying to get an osu team that has already secured its spot in the rose bowl something to play for seeing how “The Game” has been as much of a rivalry lately as usc vs. ucla. I don’t think he would make a guarantee this big; not as a fresh. at least.
A Win will cause me to call all of my osu friends and brag b/c they’ve been rubbing our losing streak in for the past 6 years.
A lost will just make me happy I don’t have to cry for another 200 and some odd days.
At first I was reluctant, but when you look at them, they’ve won their games impressively. In addition, their strength of schedule ranks at 25 which is better than texas (37) and slightly worst than Alabama (20). So if I had a say...I would rather see them over Texas, but I would also like to see cincy as well.
I think it's a lack of talent, but I think both our offense and defense are very predictable. I think we should try and tweek our schemes a little next year so maybe we can suprise a few teams.
I wish I could say we could get 7 wins next year, but at ND, at PSU at OSU plus with msu and purdue getting better every week, I cannot see this team winning more than 6; not mention next years suprises (like Illi this year and Pudue and almost indi). I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just saying don't get your hopes up like I did this year thinking we were automatically going to a bowl.
I don’t think he’s as fast as some may think, but I think he is smart enough and hungry enough to make it work. I think he’ll be a beast next year. He won’t be a factor like Pat White on the ground, but I think we’ll see RR pass more than he did with White.
I liked Gruden in the nfl, but if we get an nfl coach I'd want to get a defensive minded coach that wins games based on defense. GERG is coo and everything, but in those superbowls he won, they had Elway, Davis, Sharp ect...That team was led by their offense. If we were to ever go nfl lets get Mike Nolan (broncos d-cord) or Dom Capers (packers d-cord). As you can see no matter how bad your offense is you still are likely to win with a dominate defense (see ostate and Iowa).
As for Gruden I don't think he leaves the nfl for anything, but maybe nd.
I think there is 20 percent chance of beating wiski if they don't throw the ball. A negative 20 percent chance of beating osu. Our secondary is bad enough to make tp look like Dan Marino. I’m not so upset about losing today, but what I’m upset about is losing and not being upset. I hate feeling like there’s no chance of Michigan winning.
I think I know which one you're talking about. I have another record that could get brokent this year as well that I won't mention b/c of the curse of the streaks
1) Mathis (if we can't get Joshua Shaw)
2) Cullen Christian
3) Tony Jefferson or Sean Parker (whoever'd commit first)
4) Aramide Olaniyan (he's smart I really like that)
5) Rashad Knight
If we get these guys to go along with the guys we already have, I will be very very happy!
It's funny I don't think we beat Purdue b/c I think they'll pass 75 percent of the time and that will kill us. I do however, think we can upset winsi. So I say we get to 6
None of us can. We will all – at least I hope- be rooting for Michigan against osu, but again, if we can’t stop juice…we will have major problems against pryor. I know pryor hasn’t been that good, but he’s better than juice and osu is 100x better than illi. I’m rooting for um all the way but, I’m not betting any money.
I totally agree. However, if we can’t stop juice then how the hell do we stop pryor? The Game is looking less appetizing this year. I’m still “all in” for Michigan, but I can understand the comments everybody’s making.
