Jabrill is awesome man. I have love watching him play and he has represented the university impeccably. However, he set the bar real high for himself and that's not a bad thing. He was a great player, but his play didn't put him on the level of a Woodson, and that's a fact. Yah it's a stupidly high bar but that's what he wanted because he has he talent for that kind of greatness. I hope he comes back and becomes the legend we all know he's capable of being.
I have that same kind of feeling as well. At least with Mitch we got to a title game. Jabrill played in only a few meaningful games and was not the difference maker in those games we had hoped for.
Still a long way to go till signing day. Bowl games will be played etc. Especially since Georgia seemed to make a late push and his commitment seemed a bit spur of the moment - it's possible when the dust settles he ends up in Ann Arbor after all.
If his collarbone was broken it would at least be in a sling. When I broke mine I had to wear this thing that pulled my shoulders back and made my back very straight. Unless he has an incredibly slight break, I'm pretty sure it would be noticeable.
Imagine how delighted we'll all be when it turns out that Hill and Onwenu have just been trolling Sparty, getting their hopes up, just to sign with Michigan.
The insiders sound pretty dang confident on this one, and if Mike was trending to MSU, there'd be more smoke to this fire. Go look at Jordan Fuller's twitter and report back on how reliable twitter profiles are.
Yes this is news. Why are you even taking issue with the newsness of this post? This is one of the newsiest posts on the board, and the information contained therein is news to me.
Jeff09 - I admire the way you phrased this comment. It's respectful but makes a strong point and is well put. Myself, I tend to be a little more, shall we say, antagonistic.
But I hope Brian and others have a look at this because I think it succinctly describes some of the main points for those of us that took issue with his take on this.
Funny how emotional everyone is getting over Frank Clark because Brian activated that command in their brains.
No one is saying Frank Clark should be literally torn to pieces by a pack of wolves. If you saw that somewhere, then welcome to the internet where everything is exaggerated, rude, and hyperbolic. This narrative of the victim Frank Clark is getting more vomit inducing by the second.
But hey, let me get real for second:
Frank Clark just beat the living hell out of a woman, like 2 days ago. Frank Clark, a 270 lb DE and NFL prospect, beat a woman so badly her brothers thought her life was ending in Frank Clark's hands that night. If she is actually pregnant, he could have ended 2 lives.
Fuck you apologists for shaping this sorry narrative. It's embarrassing.
Frank Clark's life is not over. When Frank Clark is ready to be a man, ready to be accountable for himself and ready to be a force for good with his actions - he should be welcomed and supported to do so with open arms.
But only 2 days after committing an egregious crime against a defenseless victim - having just been arraigned and possibly still in jail - today is not the day. Frank Clark needs to learn the impact his actions have on others, the victim, society- but you come here and you see a nice eulogy for a fallen star with a picture of a guy who, in all likelihood, was realizing the magnitude of the fact he just pissed away a shot at more money than he could ever need and one of the best jobs in the world - as well as knowing that his cowardice will be national news before he gets out of jail, and it makes you want to have a righteous feelings session for how mean everyone is being to Frank Clark.
No, you've got it all wrong and so does every other exuse making apologist on here.
Talk about being condescending? Condescending is believing someone like Frank Clark doesn't know right from wrong when it comes to beating a woman within inches of her life. The hell outta here.
It's pretty tricky to, when writing something making an argument, include an anecdote to aid in making the argument, but frame it in such a way that it can't have issue taken with whether or not it's a fair or accurate comparison.
I say if you include it, you meant it. It's one of the most important parts of the piece, regardless of how it's framed. Brian wants it to help make his point without it making what's a more natural reading of his anecdote, which is that it makes what Frank did more understandable and less unreasonable.
What you pointed out is a massive difference most here seem happy to just gloss over.
I would say it's also mostly pointless because it's happening in blog comments and not in a place where it matters. If society's reaction didn't reflect how appalling it views his crime, the incentive to reform wouldn't exist.
Also, people say stupid, exaggerated things on the internet all the time in almost every conceivable circumstance. It's practically the norm. Not even practically, it is to be expected. That doesn't make it "right" but let's not let this fact cloud the issue.
But hey, nobody will see this anyway below the 150 posts stroking fearless leader's ego. After hanging FC yesterday, glad you all came back out for this party!
And actually, this statement sums up everything that's wrong with Brian's view here: "He can be a guy that this happened to once..."
Nothing "happened" to Frank Clark. Fate did not intervene, a lightning bolt did not strike him and make him act in this way. Frank made this happen. Frank alone. Even saying that this is something that "happened" to him is an apologist way of framing the topic, and dead wrong in its interpretation.

This is where I'm at. If OSU wins & loses to M to finish with 1 loss, they're probably in the CFP again. F that.
Root PSU.
Rooting against our species because you don't like a guy is totally rational.
somehow LJ Scott is going to be in Sparty's backfield for the 12th year in a row next year.

Hey Truthbtold, what do you think about Michigan? And also nice mustache.
Definitely not a troll.
Wow I bet you feel really good about yourself.
He literally said "You're better than them...not as people...but as a place, hell yeah it's better"
You thought wrong.
Amazing. The video description says "University of Michigan head coach John Harbaugh enters the game for the A's as their first base coach"
Harkens back to that wondrous Free Press gaffe the day he was hired.
Then don't break up with her.
If he invites me to play on facebook, I'm going to unfriend his ass.

Talk about a loose definition. In sports you an attend or not attend and still attend!
attend |əˈtend|
verb
1 [ with obj. ] be present at (an event, meeting, or function)
Long live the streak!!!

Talk about condescending!
Suggesting a person like Frank Clark was somehow handicapped from knowing right vs wrong in this situation because of his upbringing is condescending.
I was in the heat of the moment when I shot and killed guy that cut me off on my way to work.
Is that similar too?
There are clearly much different lines being crossed, regardless of whatever caveats you put around it. These are not of the same motivation.
