The Curtis Mayfield (Impressions) song is a perfect way to honor this team and our fandom…Another example of how MGoBlog always knocks it out the park- the impeccable detail 😎💯
The U - Miami 1988 - Great game,,,tough loss....first time I saw a team (The U) put up 4 fingers at the start of the fourth quarter....and then they came back from down 14 and won the game....
Yaaaassss - some J Dilla (a Detroit legend) music, out of the first break, to celebrate his birthday (2.7.74) and homegoing (2.10.96) this weekend - Great choice and recognition - RIP!!!!
Not many HS b-ball players are in the 2,000 point club. Tonight Terrance Williams joined Chris Lykes as the 2nd Gonzaga Eagle to join this prestigious club in the last four years. Here was #2,000 in the 2Q vs DeMatha.
Great Dude - appreciate his cool, calm and collected demeanor - no wonder he's a captain. He will be a standard bearer for the young linemen behind him on roster - Bravo!!!
What's in the Divided We Stand documentary is a big part of the legacy....but all of the "issues" surrounding the program are as well. I can't put a percentage on these two elements without my personal bias trickling in but I will think of both as I consider his legacy.
Brian - As always great UFR - but I must disagree about your Shea POV. All of the pass videos above that were drops - all hit the receivers hands. My POV has always been- if the receiver gets his hands on the ball - he must make the play. You see it all of the time in other college games - so I'd like to see our 4/5 star receivers make more catches.
Great analysis - glad we have the experienced players that can execute. This looks like it could come in handy during offensive lulls - wish we had it last season. Looking forward to seeing how these plays work in Atlantis.
Wear them down - their depth is their biggest weakness (assuming they haven't quit on Dantonio). A good mix of run up the middle and on the edge, bubble screens, jet sweeps, a few deep shots per quarter - keep them on the field - move the chains. May be closer in the first half than expected - but wearing them down with TOP will likely be the offensive strategy.
May God have mercy and provide comfort to the Winston family during the days, weeks, and months ahead. Cassius's demonstration of strength and grace during the ball game yesterday and in this IG post is powerful.
Great analysis Ace - Thanks - I am impressed with Teske's growth in his shot mechanics, his presence around the rim and it will be interesting to watch how his effectiveness as a passer from the post improves our looks from 3. Creighton and Louisville will be important games to have these elements on display.
Thanks Dr SAP for sharing - I never knew Mr Burton - but listening to the tributes today on WTKA and watching this video - its clear that he was a great teacher, motivator and mentor to alot of Michigan men. The Great Michigan tradition results from the people who made the program what it is - Tirrel Burton was one of those great contributors. RIP Coach.
If the B1G offices really took Jim's critisism constructively, they would pursue a set of standards and process improvements for officials that would evaluate/investigate every incident in every game so that best referee practices are captured, taught, best technologies deployed, and all this carried out to the field of play. Human error wont totally be removed from games however can be reduce significantly vs where we are today. This approach to referee process improvement can and should be implemented instead of the CYA/Low Transparancy approach that Jim Delany and the B1G front office seem to be practicing today.

Yaaaasssss
Fine with this outcome - would rather have a QB, CB or OT/DT vs another TE to fill this spot.
Yessss

Another favorite from DBJ..
The bar is low here - I expect Chase to return for Penn St. Controversy follows Urban wherever he goes and this was on his watch.
He's a beast!!!
JT was short
BPONE is to Michigan as Clemsoning is to Clemson
All of the above and it takes time to get the right talent and depth at each position.
I like Wagner off the bench as the 2...in an 8 man rotation....I see Franz on the floor late in close games where Offense is needed.
He'd be a nice option for Gattis....
It's happening....
