Look me in the eye
Then, tell me that I'm satisfied
Was you satisfied?
Look me in the eye
Then, tell me that I'm satisfied
Hey, are you satisfied?
And it goes so slowly on
Everything I've ever wanted
Tell me what's wrong
Look me in the eye
And tell me that I'm satisfied
Were you satisfied?
Look me in the eye
Then, tell me I'm satisfied
And now are you satisfied?
Everything goes
Well, anything goes all of the time
Everything you dream of
Is right in front of you
And everything is a lie
Look me in the eye
And tell me that I'm satisfed
Look me in the eye
Unsatisfied
I'm so, I'm so unsatisfied
I'm so dissatisfied
I'm so, I'm so unsatisfied
I'm so unsatisfied
Well, I'm-a
I'm so, I'm so unsatisfied
I'm so dissatis, dissattis...
I'm so
If you look at his twitter feed, there's at least a couple of people who question his ethics (yellow journalism, vendetta, etc) and he replies with "if you have questions about my reporting Shoot me an email....mrosenberg at freepress dot com"
Giving up a 4, 5, and 7 to move up one spot is right? They must've had some good info that someone else was going to trade with minnesota to beat them to give that much.
Given how ugly and cheap this series has been, I don't think it's a surprise the refs are calling this one tight (wouldn't surprise me if they were told to do so by NHL HQ). They started the game calling it tight, and at least they're being consistent both ways in that regard.
I was reading the transcript and thinking the same thing. Not only may (will) he end up as my favorite Michigan QB of all time, but maybe my favorite Michigan football player of all time.
Played FB in high school only in 10th grade, and wasn't good. My best sport was basketball - played through high school and was a part-time starter for two years at a Class B school. No where near good enough to go on - plus, not too many college opportunities for a 6'3" center.
As I read the helmet coming off rule change, if it comes off due to an opposing player penalty (facemask or twist or personal foul or something) then the player that loses the helmet does NOT need to come off the field.
I think this is more for when a back or receiver's helmet come of due to a big hit, to do a quick concussion check.
Drinking OE800. Just kidding, although that is what I drank in school when we were digging change from the couch.

The thing with recruiting Tebow is that, and Urban has said this, is that the main recruiter was our own Greg Mattison. Meyer called him (Greg) the beat recruiter he's worked with.
What, if you say something negative about Lloyd Carr, that automatically means that you're not appreciative of the his positives?
<br>
<br>Look, the guy is human. He has good and bad qualities. Whether the good outweighs the bad depends on how everyone weighs different qualities, different characteristics.

<br>
<br>"of course you let the players opt out...you do the honorable thing and allow said player to leave"? Before they even talk to the new coach? Especially when you are the guy who recommended the new coach? Like hell you do. Only if you think you're bigger than the program, bigger than the team.
<br>
<br>As stated by another poster, the head coach does not hire compliance people, for obvious conflict of interest reasons. Yeah, the head coach takes the blame, by there's a reason none of the compliance people involved with the sanctions are with the program, either - they failed at their jobs.
<br>
<br>How many of those "coaches with three years of success with less talent" had their predecessor around, and backstabbing them every step of the way - I'd bet none.
<br>
<br>Look, no one is saying that RichRod is without fault here. However, we can also recognize that the failure was not his alone, it was the whole program's.
<br>
<br>As assistant AD, Lloyd was part of that failure. As the previous head coach, he had a large role in who was on the field in 2008 (especially since he told guys to leave). And, since Carr was the guy who recommended RichRod for the job, and his recommendation was followed, it partially falls on him for not recommending a better coach, a better fit, or not developing a coaching tree where someone was ready for the job when it came open.
<br>

Uh, I guess I missed the part where his new boss took him aside and prepped him a bit before the press conference.
<br>
<br>Yeah, maybe he should have visited the city first, but timing dictated that he didn't. Should he have reached out on his own - absolutely. Was he naive about some things - again, absolutely.
<br>
<br>However, to say he had plenty of help bedew that intro press conference? I didn't see that in the book, so I guess I fail at reading comprehension, too.
Then why recommend RichRod for the job?
<br>
<br>That's something that I really don't get. If you're going to put someone's name put there, and they do get the job, and you're still around, don't you owe it to that person to help him out a bit?
<br>
<br>JeffB
If he wasn't going to first and foremost support the program above all else, he should've never taken the post-coaching job in the athletic department.
<br>

I could see what you say if Lloyd was fired. However, he retired, AND was given a job in the athletic department. With that job came the responsibility to act in the best interests of the university and the football team. Things like telling players they can all transfer was not best for the team. Not publicly supporting the coach that he recommended for the job was not in the best interests of the team.
<br>
<br>For all the good that Lloyd has done for the department an the university, these actions will always color my impression of him as a person.
<br>
<br>JeffB
To me (as a RichRod supporter to the bitter end) this might have been the most surprising passage in the whole book. That a sizable percentage of his seniors (yes, they were Carr recruits but RichRod coached them for all three years) thought he shouldn't be coach makes me look twice at what I had thought.
<br>
<br>I agree with previous posters that wish this would've been expanded on - when did he lose the team (or at least a portion)? Midseason, with the losing? The banquet?
<br>

It was called the red river Shootout for something like 70 years, an was only changed because to be politically correct. Same thing as Georgia v Florida now can't be called the "Worlds largest outdoor cocktail party".

Apparently they would also prefer the B1G, at least according to the ESPN bottom line. Said something to the effect that they are targeting the SEC because B1G isn't interested
Because of the Horror, they will NEVER be "just another cupcake.". We could put 100 on them, and that would still not erase the Horror from the records.
So, Michigan hasn't played a game, yet Brian is wrong about a prediction about what will happen when, you know, they play a game?

This might be the most f----d picture I've seen in my life, and that's saying something.

Houston lost yesterday, so no BCS bowl for them.
CBS Sports is now reporting Va Tech to Sugar, updating their previous reports.

Fuck yeah!!
How the f--- was that dude that wide open in the end zone? Plus, that ball was hanging for like 20 seconds.

I didn't realize that the head coach gets an unlimited budget to hire assistants.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. This is fuckin ridiculous. Damn it
Chris Folwer did that on twitter a few weeks back. Surprisingly, the majority reply was to keep it, if I remember correctly.
He's unavailable. Tom Hammonds is in South Korea covering the world track and field championships. Dan hicks is filling in for this week only.
Because of the Horror, they will NEVER be "just another cupcake.". We could put 100 on them, and that would still not erase the Horror from the records.
I'm sure that whomever is coach will show the team The Horror, just to doubly make sure they're ready.
