My favorite memory of D-Mo in hoops is his determination not to let the Duke game get away from us. They had a lead hovering around 8-14 for nearly all of the second half and without fail he would make a play that kept us in it until we could make a real push. This included a Jordan-esque fadeaway and a couple of absolute dimes to J-Mo for flushes. He deserved to have that floater fall to tie it but the basketball gods were just not having it.
Not sure your point here. Nobody here is sentencing Darius Morris to eternal damnation, and yes we are all sinners. But pointing out that him beating a woman half way to death impacts our opinion of him doesn’t seem like a shocker.
It also speaks volumes that I really wouldn't want the current presidential crop to speak at my kids high school graduation. Like "thanks but I think we are going to go in a different direction."
My older son gained the ability to drive but lost the ability to reason at exactly the same time. There are times I just look at him with complete confusion as to what, if anything, he could possibly be thinking.
It's a good point. Although I will say that I don't think Tschetter is incapable of developing a method of defending wings. He would certainly be a footspeed disadvantage but he is long. He could mold himself into "disruptive" at a minimum I think.
I think I kind of disagree that Tschetter emphatically could not play in the mold of a wing, at least on offense. In fact, his best fit offensively is in kind of in a 3 and shaky-D role with some rebounds here and there, ala college Duncan Robinson. He played the role that he did last because that was a complete perversion of a basketball roster, but I see him more as a wing-ish substance than a "big man."
I can listen to baseball on the radio, but I seriously cannot watch it. A live baseball game "pops" with excitement and you can see how incredible of athletes they are, but the product does not carry over to the screen at all. Yankees-Sox 9th inning in Game 6 of the ALCS, yeah, that can be watched. But the everyday 1:05 Tigers game against some other team is absolutely not watching material. On the radio, during yardwork or on the commute home? Sure. But not on the TV.
Arizona owns Michigan in basketball. Arizona has had our number going back to 1995. The Fab Five almost even lost to UCLA in the second round on Arizona's floor. We need to break the cycle at some point.
He's an odd fellow. I have never seen him acknowledge emotion or discuss any connection with people, things, or places in a manner that appears as a genuine expression of feelings. Clearly I don't know Chris Webber but his emotional affect seemed to stop in its tracks at The Timeout and he seemed completely unrelatable after that.
He also went from seemingly having a burning desire to win to not particularly caring all that much. His game also went from power and will to finesse and almost aversion to contact. The Chris Webber that played in college never played in the NBA.
I don't think it is a false equivalency but I still disagree with it. What is being weighed is not the scope of the hardship endured by a substantively bad law, but the degree of upheaval that would result in intellectual abandonment of the principle that for laws to exist or mean anything, they have to be enforced as a matter of principle or order would be impossible in any social ecosystem. In fact, adherence to such a principle is a prerequisite to even conclude that certain acts or omissions are wrong, in principle. We are in serious chicken-or-egg territory.

That cannot be applied universally, so you really cannot treat it as a maxim or you could be retroactively punished for something that was not illegal or against the rules at the time. Consistency in application is Rule 1 for any law or rule that is going to last or be accepted or there are no rules and that is not sustainable. Exceptions should be very limited in scope and subject to critical inquiry.

Either vacate everything from 2002-2005 or blissfully pretend it was something different from what it was, but don't just take this completely random and token action against one dude and call it good.
Detroit has an absolute ton of parking. It will be expensive but you won't have any trouble finding a spot. I would avoid high levels of parking garages because it will take you forever to get out.

People who do not like DMB tend to REALLY not like them and are very vocal about it. But they are actually in the minority by quite a bit. They have been an incredibly successful act for 3 decades.
I could listen to an entire Dave Matthews band and be thoroughly unimpressed and actually probably annoyed.
But live performances of songs like Seek Up, #41, Grey Street, Bartender and some others are totally different animals.
Some of the best performances I have ever seen are by Dave Matthews. I have also left a show or two because my ears hurt and they sounded like garbage. In the iconic words of Eddie Murphy in Coming to America, DMB is the epitome of "Good and Terrible."
I get that there are disagreements over DMB's music, but I don't think there can be disagreement as to their influence in the music industry for literally 30 years. I don't think there could reasonable argument against their resume for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Tiger obviously has physical limitations and his body is in rough shape, but from a pure golfing perspective what Tiger needs is a fast start. Historically, even when he was setting records and beating everybody, he sucked at opening rounds. He is basically +2 through 3 at every Thursday and Friday of every tournament he plays. He bogeyed the first hole in every round of the US Open he won at Torrey Pines. Let him go -3 through 5 or 6 holes and it is an entirely different ballgame.
In terms of simply golfing ability, he is currently still in the top handful of guys out there. He just cannot dig out of holes anymore so he needs to stop digging them.
The issue, however, is that they actually were that racist. There is very little physical evidence, but the physical evidence that there is shapes the entire belief as to his guilt. And that evidence comes off as far too convenient. He leaves one of the gloves at the scene, but keeps one on, does not discard that glove after leaving the scene, and discards it on his own property? What?
I think the jury thought there a reasonable chance that evidence was planted because there is a reasonable chance that it was.
I think there are weaknesses in the case against OJ. I also have my reservations about the officers that investigated the crime. I think it is far more likely than not that OJ was the murderer. But there are reasons he was found not guilty for the crime. If there wasn't he would have been found guilty.

Clearly Casey Anthony was the person responsible for her daughters death, and the attempts to cover it up. There is zero part of me that believes it was intentional, though. An intentional killing in the Anthony case does not at up at all.
I believe that OJ was the murderer, but I also am not as sure as most other people are. Without an opportunity to further "sanitize" his vehicle and his home, it seems nearly impossible that there would not have been far more blood than was found. What they found was miniscule. Their live shows are not anything like their albums. It is difficult to tell they are the same band.
It will be difficult to park near Campus Martius but a quarter mile away in any direction there are tons of lots and garages.
I like the NFL and I am interested in who goes where, but I cannot think of one reason to attend the NFL draft.
