I think (hope) the defense is going to get figured out this year. Too many experienced and athletic guys for it to look like this. Offense looks really good, helps that we're hitting the open shots for the most part
I don't think this trade says anything about Jamo. The lions have 5 active receivers, 2 are slots and 1 is a 7th round rookie with 1 career reception. They got a good player for cheap at a position that sees random injuries. I really don't think getting DPJ is going to impact how many touches Jamo gets a game.
At this point he's also "played" 10 games (only "played" because he would play ~10 snaps a game last year) and calling a player a bust and wanting him out of town this quickly is absurd, especially when he has shown flashes. Davante Adams only caught ~50% of his passes his rookie year, should he have been moved on from immediately?
Last FG: 10:45. I have never seen a team held to just making free throws for the final 10 minutes of a game and still win. This team seems to be able to play offense, or defense, but never both
Joey Baker has been a better spot-up shooter than we've seen this year.
I'm curious on this. Isn't he shooting ~44% from three this year, which is a career high? I know there's more than just raw shooting splits but I feel like he hasn't been a better spot-up shooter ever
I was really rooting for the TCU guy to win. Definitive leader who willed his team down the field, and didn't do things like paint F*ck Utah on his nails, then lose. Also, the Patrick mahomes quote from him comes off very, very poor. You can't say you're as good right now as the (arguably) best quarterback in the NFL if you aren't even winning your conference. There's confidence, and then there's arrogance.
Just got home from Indy, what an excellent game to go to. The arena was rocking. The Purdue fans traveled well. Great game, and tip of the hat to Purdue for a well fought game
They screwed one thing up: Stroud clearly fumbled on the Okie sack and their "progress was stopped" explanation was transparently garbage.
I'm not going to trade the rest of the game officiating for this one play, but man imagine the firestorm in Columbus if this final score is 52-23 instead of a small 45-23 where michigan beat ohio by 22 points
I'm happy we won. I'm concerned about the fact that we cannot rely on Dickinson to put up 30+ every game, especially against BIG centers that he doesn't tower over, and excluding outside transfers and old JB guys, there has been a bad trend of poor shooting.
5/21 and 25/40 is not good. and I bet if you look back at the last two seasons and don't include franz, livers, and eli brooks, the cumulative isn't much better than that.
Tarris is not going to be able to provide the offense Hunter does, but his defense is already about as good or better, and that's not a bad thing for a backup, freshman center

The DE room.... I looked up the numbers, recruiting rankings average at #322, and the average draft selection is #46 or a mid second rounder. That's a pretty incredible job of finding talent and developing it

I went into the game expecting to hear Porter's name called a bunch and he was completely invisible because of lightning and lightning
If McGregor could get around the edge a foot less deep he has 3-4 sacks, Millen seemed to be able to just step forward enough for him to fly by. Jenkins had a few great plays getting massive push, Anoma seemed to step in way quicker than we could've thought. Good vibes going forward it seems
Well since this thread is really a "Give your take on the QB Battle" I'll agree that Cade probably did not do enough today to keep the job. The Oline looked generally good opening running lanes, but there definitely was some pass pro issues, hopefully that's just time with new pieces but slightly concerning.
(edit) : I forgot to mention, there seemed to be a lot (more than normal) of catchable throws dropped by usually surehanded receivers. Hopefully first game jitters is all
