I will chime in, I don't believe we can say without a doubt one was/is greater than the other. Yes, the equipment has changed the way the game is played. However, if I remember correctly when Woods started using the Nike brand golf equipment I believe Phil Mickelson said that Woods was winning despite the use of the Nike golf equipment. No matter how advanced the equipment is you still have to have the talent to use it and win at the highest levels of competition. Nicklaus=Woods Woods=Nicklaus
Everything appears to be happening how we want it.
I wanted coach Harbaugh as much as any. However I have been around long enough to realize that once all of the eggs are in one basket, it's either a home run or a complete strikeout.
I am still on the home run side of things, yet I still have reservations from the previous 7 years. Good night to all, and thanks.
It's been from experience that all so called buyouts are absolutely negotiable. The so called rift between San Francisco's front office and their head coach has been reported as much as our CC. Unfortunately, if the 49'ers choose to do nothing, we lose all leverage. Jim Harbaugh is still under contract for one more year. Ugh. Things are going to be extremely dicey the next 11 days.
If the offer is not legitimate, please give the source. The offer does seem high, however, it seems the length of time that is associated with the coaching search is indicative of a higher than normal offer. I suspect we have at least a week of search-bits left. I am still quite pleased with the actual time frame of the process. I don't believe we made mistakes in the prior 2 coaching hires, but the major majority seems to be on the same page for once. The thought of Harbaugh not accepting may be unnerving, yet with almost every one realizing that a divided house will not stand, our so called plan b will still be a home run. With that said, I am 4 margaritas into the evening, but also with the next 14 days off for vacation. So, may everyone have a peaceful holiday with a moment of reflection on those who are less fortunate than most. Thank you all for your time. Go Blue.... Always!
I have thought for a long time, that, if Harbaugh does not work out, he would be the best option. He seems to be an way above average developer of recruits and has the acceptable demeanor for a university that demands that personality.
We defend, what we care about, if this was Alabama, USC, or Texas , we as Michigan fan's would be irate and in dis-belief, that this player
was not dismissed from the affore mentioned teams. However, we all have a biased view from, all that is not MICHIGAN. We should be thankful that we do not have to accept the criticism and the so called praise that come's with these decisions made by Universiites every day.
