Does anyone know if hiring an outside coordinator will affect the retention of Clinkscale? Hiring Don Brown over Greg Mattison caused Mattison to defect to Ohio State for his waning years. Mattison's history of disloyalty is well-known, so I'm not specifically worried Clink is gonna run to central Ohio to become a businessball coach, but he is already the co-DC. Is there a reason we aren't talking about promoting Clink as the sole DC?

As I have said for two years, there needs to be a much better staff up and down. Phil's coaching was no better than Juwan's, and seems to have left little to build on. When Beilein had heart surgery in 2018 (the year before ghosting us), Yaklich was the D coordinator and leading practice with the other assistants. Martelli clearly played no such role.
if you were to propose dumping millions into sports programs, but not halting the rise in tuition, improving graduate assistants pay, delaying fixes on housing and cost-of-living issues for the students, etc. you'd be doing a really lousy job as a Regent
I don't fully understand and would love for someone to explain to me how this works. I am always reading that the Athletic Department exists as a separate financial institution from the University itself. To me that implies a regent would have no ability to draw funds from the athletic department in order to pay grad assistants, etc. Any help explaining is appreciated!

I believe the biggest reason is something harder to define. People always call Jim "odd" and "abrasive" and comment on his personality all the time like it's just something we're supposed to assume is true.
However we want to define that, there are people who interact with him and don't like him and then try to bully him because they're dumb babies. I think the latter is hard to do to an extremely successful adult millionaire, but in my opinion the relationship with the NCAA and Big Ten is one where they are trying to bully Jim Harbaugh, as stupid as it sounds.
