My last experience at the Big House involved Michigan fans bullying my wife (we are both alums) out of her seat (my inlaws bought us two separate tickets so I wasn't next to her), ushers not helpful at all. In my section I was screamed at to sit down everytime I stood up (people were standing in front of me) and people complaining I was too loud. Meanwhile the team was getting pummelled by OSU, commerical breaks were unbearable, OSU fans were louder than Michigan fans. I will not be attending a game anytime soon. Horrible experience
Against Rutgers today, I'd like to see a lot of Livers, Johns, Davis/Teske at the 3/4/5. Need to be able to rebound the ball and that lineup (with Franz and Z both good rebounders) we have the physical tools to match Rutgers. I expect early fould trouble for Teske and a lot of run for Davis and maybe even Castleton in this game. Their shots will fall at a lot higher clip this game and we need to match their energy and toughness while cashing in on our open looks. Go Blue! 74-72 good guys
Wisconsin players have gotten away with boxing out and putting their feet where the shooter will land for way too long. Such a dirty play and can cause serious injuries. I hope this sheds some light on the dirtiness that is pervasive in their program. Dispicable.
Bolder take: Nunez hits 5/8 from three and finishes with 19 pts. Agree with Davis having a personal high. I have been impressed with his physical play and motor as well as a couple nice post moves. Go Blue!
I was hopeful that the Beilein aversion to crashing the offensive glass would not carry over to the new staff. With the big bodies and length we throw out there and the amount of threes we launch, there are a lot of missed opportunities to extend possessions and get easy putbacks. Saw a little of that with Johns in the second half, but the whole get back on D at all costs is too costly. If you watch our jump shooters, they even begin leaning towards getting back on D before finishing their shots. Its no suprise that we have such terrible streaks shooting. Need to "get those puppies organized," have a balanced shot and finish and then get back on D or even better grab your own miss!
Dude better hit the weight room if he wants to play for pay. Bounces off people like a water bug but without the quickness. He hit that one glorious shot and will go down in history for that, but pro? Got a lot of work to do youngsta
Is it possible that all the effort exerted on defense saps the legs a bit and explains late season shooting woes? With a seven man rotation, it’s hard to have fresh legs out there.
Need to get contributions from DDJ, Castleton, Eli and two others on both ends next year. I think Z will improve his outside shooting and Teske will learn some post moves.
They will pick and roll Sparty to death and Goins will pick up some quick fouls. Z locks down Cassius. Livers splashes in some crowd igniting threes. Go Blue!
Big John will be tasked with slowing down their post scoring, grabbing boards on both ends and draining mid range shots a la the Purdue championship game. A lot on his big shoulders especially if Moe's struggles continue. Hope he can avoid foul trouble and be a difference maker on both ends. Go Blue!
Zavier is the dog. MAAR the ketchup. Wagner is the Bratwurst to enjoy by the Poole. Teske the tall drink of water to wash it all down. Also, we have subs. It's crazy!
The dude is a fucking clown. Don't know how he isn't universally loathed esp considering being complicit in raping young women. Special place in hell for him losing buzzer beaters and missing out on recruiting Brandon Johns for infinity
That reverse from Iverson was redunkulous. Badgers PG has some onions. Keep Happ out of foul trouble and we got a game on our hands. Spartans Will fold in this and the next tourney

A pleasure to watch. Few costly turnovers by Simmons Matthews and Rahk. Three layups missed by Z Livers and Matthews (shoulda passed). Purdue played lights out. Hats off to both teams for a great game. Players showed some fire tonight. Both teams will make some noise in the tourney. Hoping for a miracle but ain't mad about it either way. Go Blue!
I would be wary about driving a car with Michigan plates as it will likely end up a target. Hopefully your sister has a garage. Honestly, I would wear a jacket over your Michigan gear until you make it into the stadium and upon leaving. That way you can support the team and avoid an unruly crowd that would love nothing more to throw beer and/or piss at you. Cheer for your team with gusto and have a good time!
Yeah the exams for this class were ridiculous. Was convinced I failed the final because I missed the class that went over Laplace transforms. Got a 32. Class average was a 29! Our GSI who f'in taught us the materials got a 57. Absurd
The shots aren't falling because we aren't creating good looks. Teams have shut down the drive the baseline and kick to the corner and we have made 0 adjustments to counter. Our best pure shooter, Duncan, fails to exert effort to get open and then just stands there like a sad puppy. Our best guy at taking people off the dribble and potentially creating open looks, MAAR, is the best at finishing around the basket so he doesn't get any assists. The ball doesn't move around AT ALL. What happened to the pick and roll that has shown flashes of being incredibly efficient? Not even worth discussing defense because this team doesn't play any.
If Rudock is the "safe play" lets get dangerous. Shane would have made that first touchdown pass with his RIGHT arm. My dead parapalegic grandmother would have been a better conservative play. Sure the first pick was probably on Perry but Rudock showed me NOTHING. Receivers were open. He sucks. Bench him. Transfer him back to Iowa.
Blazed with Chad Henne once. He was an uninteresting doofus before we toked. He was an uninteresting doofus after we smoked. However, we were less hesitant to laugh at him being an uninteresting doofus post-blaze.
It is undeniable that Beilein is great at scouting and developing players and putting them in positions to succeed. A common misconception, however, is that individual players or missing shots can be blamed for the woes of this team and Beliein does not shoulder any of that responsibilty. I agree that the Novak/Douglass era was not exceptional, rather the teams exceeded expectations that were low due to the lack of talent and previous years mired by sanctions. I contend that the offensive system Beilein employs relies too heavily on exceptional play from guards and wings and when we don't get the stud recruits, our expectations need to be lowered. I would love if Beilein utilized the post more in this offense and would subsequently be able to recruit bigs that could help erase some of the deficits of the teams on a night by night basis by blocking shots and grabbing offensive rebounds/garbage points. Also, our offense has become a little too predictable and teams have begun to take away what is successful. At least three times last night, Spike or Walton drove the baseline and attempted to pass to a wing in the corner, but the passes were intercepted because people simply watched film and knew what was coming. Rant over. Go Blue!
This team consistently gets beat off the dribble in man defense. The zone looked disruptive and very effective. Love Caris up top. B1G win to start the conference slate. Keep it up fellas
Will we start integrating post play into the offense and become a viable destination for talented big men? Or will recruit talented big men allowing us to run through the post? Time to modify the offense a tick or continue to rely on outside shooting/NBA level isolation players.
Not as consistently as the guys you pointed out, but the swag, that dawg, the eye of the tiger is not lacking on this team. Hopefully this will come out to the forefront in B1G play and the team will come into its own. Unfortunately, the ceiling may be limited due to the lack of depth, experience and athleticism at the 4 and 5.
Ricky Doyle has shown some flashes of being a strong finisher around the rim, but does not command the attention of the defense allowing an easy hedge on Levert/Irvin. That being said, our current conundrum of not having strong, capable bigs will only be perpetuated if the staff does not make a conscious effort to involve the position more on offense. Why would a capable post scorer and interior presence want to come play in this offense? Big Mitch was able to carve out a substantial roll due to his unique playmaking ability allowing him to create his own offense, but the prototypical big will not get enough touches. We need to start to posting up for posting up's sake or more posts like this will continue to be posted.

Team never got rattled. Franz looking like Moe relishing in the hostile environment. Great team win led by our battle tested senior PG. Go Blue!

I've had luck outside of MSG. Might have to scour the internet and the streets tomorrow.
Nosebleed seats going north of $95 a pop right now. Stubhub Vivid Seats and MSG. Any other options?
Drive and dish baby! Z may be breaking out of his shell and could ignite the offense. Stop the turnovers and we in this
Still have any pull there? Looking for an MGoJob in operations/sales

In defense of Caris, that wild lay up attempt was WAY easier than simply laying it in or f'in DUNKING it. Unfreakinbelievable
