Transfer Hello: WR Daylen Baldwin
I like this development.
Yep, 6'2", 190 lbs. to 6'3" and 210 lbs. over three seasons is some nice development.
Jackson St must have some high tech stretching racks.
Nice get. There was definitely a need for another option at outside WR.
Grabbed 25 balls for 20.8 avg and 7 touchdowns last season.
25 rec, 520 yds, 7 TDs in 5 games. Not too shabby.
Ahhh, 5 games is the key here.
I was - meh. But you had me at 5 games. Those are some amazing stats for 5 fricken games.
21 YPC and 7 TD's had you "meh?" Tough crowd.
That's pretty good ball-grabbin!
He's immediately eligible, right?
Who are the 5 best WR's of all time?
Daylen, Daylen, Daylen, Daylen.....and Daylen.
Some say he spits hot fire.
Where the f is Perkis-size me?!?!
Perhaps he was booked on a tour...
I’d say this officially makes the receiver room a strength of the team. Good depth and a wide range of different types of dudes, etc. Vibes boost
So...this was unexpectedly positive. I was led to believe by this place that UM was destined to loe out on everything when OSU gets involved.
At the very least seems like a decent downfield threat and has good size.
Oh damn, I didnt realize he worked out and got an offer from ohio before M. Damn, nice recruiting win for the coaches. Well done
There were people in the previous thread about Baldwin who suggested Ohio State offered just to thwart Michigan, but I don't think that's right. From what I read at 11w and elsewhere, he impressed Hartline and OSU legit wanted him to add depth.
I didn't suggest it, I actually said that. But I also said something else before that part.
Welcome, Wolverine!
His college head coaches: Wheatley to Primetime to Harbaugh.
Looks like Wheatley got to Morgan State in 2019 and Baldwin was there 2017-18. Didn’t quite meet up
With this transfer, Michigan is in good shape at RB and WR this season it seems. O-line I think should be okay given that most players are either 3/4 year guys with decent experience or younger, higher ceiling type players. As almost always is the case, our offense will depend on the QB position, which, uh, we'll see how that plays out
Definitely true on offense. Now can we stop anyone on defense?
And if the offensive playcalling isn't horrendous
^^^^ this.
Well, TBH, it has been kind of offensive!
I deserve this....
Nice news. He seems to have been largely unrecruited out of Farmington Hills in the 2017 WR class (which included for us DPJ, Tarik Black, Nico, and Oliver Martin). Weird to think that he could easily surpass two of those guys in lifetime Michigan production if he steps into a role right away.
With the right QB (maybe) and the right offensive minds (probably not) he could pass them all.
You mean he would catch them all, correct?
Like Pokemon! Nice one my friend!!
YES! Big add at a position of need. WR depth looks MUCH better now.
Glad to get another outside wide receiver with size. Great development.
How old is this dude? He looks like he’s halfway to his pension already
Not as old as the recent Dtackle transfer. That guy graduated high school a year before I graduated high school and I've been out of college for two years
Crazy. Not hating on the move. I assume he’s buying the beer this season
How many years of eligibility??
Two.
Now gattis you got him ....now use him!!
I'm sure there should be no problem with his credits transferring...
He's a grad transfer.
I wouldn't trust anything that Eleven Warriors says, but they call him a grad transfer,
I think this guy is really going to help us a lot call me Fred Jackson but this guy on the outside is Nico Collins but faster... helps at two spots because now Ronnie Bell can play slot. CJ and Baldwin on the outside with Bell and AJ Henning in the slot is a nicer then a Borat make bong bong bong in anoose! Plus Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards coming out of the backfield...
GREAT SUCCESS!
